So, a lot of artists released new music this month, I'm really feeling Adam Lambert's CD "FYE". The songs are wonderfully song. I mean, you cannot listen to "Soaked" and "Broken Open" and tell me these aren't the most beautiful songs you've heard. And the guitar solo on "Sleepwalker" by Orianthi is killer!
So, I just logged in today to find out that Kiwibox has changed. What happened to our Kiwi points?
Another book to add to the my favorites list would be "What Liberal Media Bias?". This book is awesome at debunking the myths about who really controls the media. Its not what your Republican Senator may want you to think.
Well, I have an extensive list of books that I have read, but unfortunately I cannot remember them all. But, I will try.
"Warriors Dont Cry"- This book was written by one of the "Little Rock Nine" names Melba Patillo Beals. It was such an amazing book that read the entire thing in least than 2 weeks. Ms. Beals describes in great detail the ordeal she and the eight other students went through while integrating an Arkansas high school. It is a must read.
"Stupid White Men"- I liked this book by Micheal Moore because it exposes the hypocrisy that Republicans, white yuppies, etc. display.
"Slaves in the Family"- In this book, the author, a white man, discovers that he has black relatives that are descendants from his ancestors that owned slaves. He goes onon an extensive journey to find both the black and white sides of his family. Along the way he finds out that some are not too thrilled to be related to people of color.
"Lie My Teacher Told Me"- This is yet another great non-fiction book on my list. The author reveals the common myths and lies we are told in school about historical figures or historical events. It's a definite page turner and it really makes you question why we are taught such lies in school.
