Moaning Myrtle haunts our bathroom

Yesterday- got up. Discussion wasn't all that exciting. We got midterms back: I got a 93. In that class I'm teetering between an A and an A-, so no worry either way. I should still be able to raise my history GPA enough to do the honors thesis (unless, of course, I fuck up next semester; gah: I need to go to the history department soon). My other class didn't meet- hurray. Went to Walmart and spent too much money. Granted, I did buy a new pillow and pore strips, so all together it wasn't terrible. Good thing that I didn't have time to look for clothes though. Then I went to work (the reason I hadn't had time to look at clothes). Not bad. Forgot to take my break, but I did scarf down some food. Then- chocolate festival. Free chocolate = awesome. Then I cleaned! It is a very exciting thing. Watched some of the Dune miniseries. When I was talking to Juin at some point, our toilet mysteriously started flushing itself. Me thinks we have a ghost. We got creeped out thereafter.

Today, I woke up before my alarm with the strong desire to catch up on Chuck, which is what I did. Then work, which left much to be desired due to a) how slow it was and b) the fact that the weather outside was beyond gorgeous (which probably explained why it was so slow). Got out before 8. I kind of wanted to get my paychecks, but didn't feel like looking for the manager. It's not like I'm going to the bank. Now I'm doing laundry. I might run to the Nite Owl to get something to eat. I really want to read for fun today- tomorrow, I'm going to make myself read for school. With finals approaching faster than I'd like, there's so much shit to get done.

I want a sundress. And capris. And more summer clothes in general.

Yesterday... wasn't terribly exciting. Got up to send out some cover letters. I think there's one I should count out already, cause I left a typo in there by mistake *headdesk* Class was class. Right after, I went research book hunting in the library. Good times. Work was decent. They were doing something special, which means awesome food and less business for Baja. I got to try starfruit. I think I annoyed Stacy (one of the student managers) by asking if I could have some of the fruit that went with the dessert (there was lychee, which is my favorite fruit). She's nice, but she plays 100% by the rules, and it can get a tad annoying sometimes. Blah. Once Baja was clean, I made myself useful elsewhere, which involved hauling bamboo around and being told that that was what men are for. Wasn't terribly productive at night. Started watching Buffy again. Talked to Juin. Did the sleep thing.

Today: Got up and wrote something for Politics of the EU, then went to reconcile with my partner for Research. It only took an hour, which is awesome. I just need to type up the reconciled codes and turn that in, and then schedule an appointment with Noelle. I then had unexpected free time that I had no idea what to do with. I didn't do anything productive. I think I took roughly an hour to mail a book out. Yeah. I'm out of shipping tape and it's crazy expensive at the bookstore, so I ended up using a stapler. Then class: I was having a fidgety day. Politics of the EU was actually a tad more dull than usual, because we were covering interest groups, a subject I'm not all that into. Political Anthro was something on the history of anthropology and how anthropologists were unwittingly a part of the oppressive colonial system. We finished the movie in history. It was actually really good, and twisty. Then food and Buffy. Not terribly exciting.

At some point today, I was listening to "Be Gentle With Me" by the Boy Least Likely To. I tend to forget how much of a theme song it is for me until I'm hearing again. It's a silly song but it actually has deep undertones. And almost every line I can relate to.

Yesterday. Woke up and wasted some time and did some packing. No Polish food since the Polish deli apparently operated Polish-like, and considers the day after Easter as part of the holiday. Liz picked me up around noon. The trip up was actually fun, and we made good time. Once here, I unpacked, got lazy, and went to the library to do work. I'm terrible at being lazy. I only got through a handful of countries when I got a phone call from work asking me where I was, because apparently we were open. I really thought we were closed. Eh- I made up for that bus ticket I didn't use. Then evening. Not sure what I did there. Radio playlist. I figured out how to tag in Itunes for real. Got myself some music from Chuck.

Today. Radio show. It went well. My apprentice ended up not coming, but that was okay- I just talked a lot and played a Stars song. Went back to my room: bad idea. Ended up spending time booking storage for the summer. Then I went and did quick thing for Politics of the EU. Class wasn't bad- we just kind of went through what we were doing. Pretty much no one was able to frame their topic in hypothesis form, which made me feel better about myself. Political Anthro: no one was back from break mentally. He talked and we just kind of stared. He let us go early. Got my paper back- I got a B! I was literally praying for a C, since the last part was so atrocious. Then library to code. At this point I started developing an ear ache. In History we were watching a Polish movie, and I got all excited, except it felt like someone was driving a spear into my head, especially when I laughed. And it was an old movie, hence kind of overdone. Now I'm wasting a little time before going to the library to finish up my coding and possibly doing some research for Politics of the EU. I'm taking my Tylenol with me, because I do like the painkillers.

Thursday... went to the city with Rosanne and people. I now have a metro card again, which is nice. We went to Queens to eat at Jolibee, which is this Filipino fast food place. It was delicious. Then went around collecting Asian bakery goods, also delicious. Got back, wasted time. Watched the second disk of Big Love.

Friday. In the afternoon, went over to Rosanne's house. We started watching a movie, but it sucked, so we played Guitar Hero. I'm rusty, which is bad considering I suck when I'm at my best. Then back home for a while. 'Round 7, went to Shelly's house. Missed the bus, so I opted to walk instead of waiting for the next one. Got there, chilled for a while til Liz got there. We made popcorn with an air popper, which was really fun to watch. Then Dollhouse. So good. I miss watching TV with geeks. Later, we decided to sleep over. Watched Doctor Horrible, and Doctor Horrible's musical commentary. Awesome. Fell asleep watching Serenity. Got up next morning to puppies. Waffles and coffee for breakfast. Then we talked for a bit, and Liz drove me home. The rest of the day was spent just chilling. Watched Men in Black. Papa John's for dinner. Very dull stuff.

Today. Another chill day. Went to mass. Read a little. Internets. There is really nothing to say.

One thing- my laptop is driving me nuts at the moment. I'm not sure how it went from perfectly acceptable to *headdesk* Firefox has crashed like 7 times today and the screen has done this thing where the system freezes and random lines show up twice. I need to call HP either tomorrow or Tuesday. I don't approve. Also, apparently our PS2 is broken ;-; I think I'll buy a new one this summer.
