Anyway, you're all probably wondering whhat i mean about the funeral. let me explain. i'm an alter server at my church. yesterday, father sylvester called me and asked me to serve a funeral and i said that i could. it's pretty cool- you get 5 dollars for serving. However it's still sad, because it is a funeral after all. i like to serve weddings better, because they're happier, and they pay more(lol). you usually get $20, and they tip you sometimes (once i got $45). yesterday i went to go see mr.deeds. it was really funny. has anyone else here been to see it? if so, did you notice the immigrant guy from big daddy in the scene where he saves the cats? i'm pretty sure it's the same guy. the end was pretty cool to, but i won't give it away. now i want to see scooby doo (i was originally going to see that yesterday, but the next showing was at 3:20, and it was only 2) and men in black 2. oh yeah, and i sort of figured out how to work the dvd player on my playstation 2. only instead of using the remote, i have to use the game controller. I guess i'll introduce mmyself. my name is Cindy, i'm 14, and i'm from New York. Next year I'm going to be a freshmen at Good Counsel Academy- an all girls school :( Luckily we have a brother school that is close to our school, and we do things like drama club with them. Also, I graduated 2 weeks ago from Sts. Peter and Paul School as the valedictorian of the class. i honestly thought that i would only be soluditorian, and that this other kid in my class was going to be the valedictorian. i got tons of awards and i got to make a speech. here it is: "msgr. barry, msgr. scanlon, sr. brenda, ms.pellicano, mrs.dentini, faculty, friends and family. one of the most famous speeches in the history of the united states consisted of only 10 sentences. as you might have guessed, i am referring to the gettysburg address by abraham lincoln. following his example, i will try to makes this short, sweet, and straight to the point. "we have always viewed graduation as something to look foward to, the beginning of bigger and better things. yet, in the last few weeks, we have come to see how bittersweet it truly is. while it marks our sucessful completion of grammer school, it also means that we are all going in our own seperate directions. for some of us, t means going to schools by ourselves. our worlds are about to change in a big way. today is our last official day as a class. "as a class, we have many memories together. these memories are both good and bad. our lives changed in ways both big and small here at this school. "many people have helped us along the way. sr. brenda has always comsidered us as her friends and has always seen the good in us, even when we were at our worst. msgr. barry has helped us to grow close to god and jesus. our teachers have helped us grow in knowledge. they encouraged us to be ourselves and helped us to develop our talents. our parents have always been there for us. they always showed love, patience, and understanding. these people have given us more than we can ever imagine.
