i HATE skunks.Wow, last night was really crazy but a lot of fun too. We went over to Holly and Tom's (they are the couple that we met during the "bomb threat" down the road. They live 3 houses down from us). We ended up going down to the Home Video and renting a few movies. Then we get home and a few minutes into the movie we go outside to have a cigarette.
They have a dog and they kind of let him go a little bit. Once he gets too far they have a collar on him that they can just send off this loud noise that makes him come back.. or it can give him a tiny shock. Well, the dog took off and they ended up giving him a shock. He yelped and then Tom brought him back. Then it started to smell BAD.. at first, I thought it was like his fur burning from the shock or something but then we all knew - skunk. We let him in the house for about 5 seconds before we realized what was going on. So we threw him in the back of Tom's truck and drove to the car wash (right down the road). Mike and Tom hosed him down when we got there because he had it all over his chest.. all yellow and gross =/ Holly and I ran over to Tops and grabbed some tomato juice. So yeah, we hosed him down in the car wash. And man, did the dog and us smell. We walked by people and they could smell us. And then the whole house smell, just from him being in there a few minutes. We had to spray all sorts of stuff and light candles to even go in the house. They're having us over for dinner tonight because we helped them so much. I like them a lot :] We really don't have a ton of friends right now and its really nice to hang out with them. Plus, they live pretty close haha. Well, I'm at work right now.. 7-1. I would much rather be in bed, but at least I have the day off tomorrow. Mike is gonna be working on his truck today so I might even get some reading done for school!:] <3 So no one is talking to me from my family..So.. I managed to piss off the rest of my family. I don't feel like getting into too many details.. but my grandparents have been talking about going to Florida for Christmas to see my aunt, uncle and 2 cousins. And I talked to my grampa who told me that they weren't going.. so I put up an away message about it. Which resulted in me being harassed by my cousins, who put up away messages and bulletins on myspace.. about me throwing a "hissy fit". And now they won't talk to me. I thnk my grandparents are mad at me. And my mom is now acting weird.
Right now I'm watching America's Next Top Model.. I cleaned a bit earlier. Mike just got home, but hes sleeping now. We'll probably clean later and then go see Tom and Holly. :] Have mercy :]Hello. I'm just sitting home right now, watching Full House. It feels wonderful to sit home and not have to go anywhere or do anything. I SHOULD go to the post office because I have packages to mail out.. but it looks like I'll do it tomorrow :]
I sliced my finger open yesterday. I was trying to find scissors in a drawer and ended up grazing my finger on a potato peeler =/ Then I had to work 1:15-6. Mike and I ended up falling asleep on the couch about 9 o'clock. Luckily, one of his friends called his cell phone and woke us up. But we were in bed by 10 o'clock which was really nice. I'm not exhausted anymore! :] I only had 2 classes today because my early america was cancelled. Well, not really cancelled. He made us come in and sign the attendance sheet.. so I had to sit on campus for like 2 hours. But thats okay, I had a lot of reading to get done. Mike should be home within in hour or two. Haha. I told him we can have sex tonight.. because I've been so exhausted lately, I've been ignoring him. Okay, well, I'm gonna go get to journals now :] She hates Mike?Wow, so yeah. Things got even MORE interesting with Rhonda (step grampa's wife, in previous entry). She called my mom at work that day.. I answered the phone and shes like "oh! britannie! are you going on friday?" and I just told her I didn't know and then I put her on hold and gave her to mom. Well, mom got REALLY pissed off at her. First she said that it was okay for me to go because I'm just a stand-in for my stepsister, Bobbie Jo. Which is so stupid! My mom has been with my step dad since I was like 7. He seriously thinks of me as a daughter and she is the ONLY person in the family that does not actually consider me family.
And then she decided to tell my mom that she does not like Mike and that is why she didn't want us to go. Which is so retarded because Mike has done nothing to her. He is always polite and nice to her. And she said that she understands why mom wants to include him in things because we are basically joined at the hip.. and its just because of my age and blah blah blah. BULLSHIT. Mike and I have been dating 4 years.. YEAH, I'm gonna bring him to family things! Thats the way its been foreverrr! My mom basically told her that Mike was a part of the family and until she could accept that, to not call her again :] It just really pisses me off. Mike is doing so good! I mean, he has his own business. He plans on doing this so that hopefully, I won't have to work one day if I don't want to and so our kids will be secure and have everything they need/want. lksdjlskd. Anyway. Even more stressful news.. I know I've mentioned Mike being on drug court before.. because he is a recovering drug addict. Well, he has not used in a year or so and we've been waiting for him to get off of this. Well, last week he went in a pissed for drug court and it was clean. He went DIRECTLY to gcasa and pissed and they sent it to a lab... and now they're trying to say it was dirty for benzo's (zanex and other meds). Haha, thats funny. If you have never known an addict, they creatures of HABIT. Mike has never really been into any kind of benzo's.. he used to smoke crack, snort coke and do heroin. And why would he do it in between peeing? This doesn't even make sense.. They think it might have been switched at the lab on accident. But they're making him come in today in front of the judge. So I don't know whats happening.. its good that they didn't throw him in jail on Monday, so hopefully they won't today. Ugh, I hate drug court. Its so stupid. =[ Well, I have a lot of homework to do. I just wanted to get all of this off my chest, lol. <3 "Bomb" right down the road // family problems.Hey ladies. Okay, so we live across the street from the police station//fire department. Around 7:30 pm Sunday night, the fire alarm went off like 3 times. This is odd because they normally only do it once MAYBE twice for a fire or accident. A few minutes later we heard a bunch of people yelling at the intersection. We walk out onto the sidewalk and we see TONS of firetrucks and cops. Finally, we find out that there was a suspicious box somewhere down the street, and they thought it was a bomb. Apparently, someone left it on a postal blue box and it was wrapped in yellow tape and had things sticking out of it (like nails, screws, etc). They closed down businesses and evacuated apartments down there. Mind you, this is within a 20 second walking distance from my house. Mike ended up getting interviewed and was on the news though! :] And we met a really nice couple that lives a few houses down and they ended up coming up to out apartment later. It was not a bomb though, but they have no idea who put it there. BUT, you can watch the news video here! Haha, Mike's on there :] And all of that footage is RIGHT in front of our apartment. When the reporter is giving her live piece in the beginning, she is literally on our doorstep. :] And then I started school the next day :] I had 4 classes -- Protest & Public Opinion, Forensics, Early America and College Comp. I ended up going to Wegman's and getting a salad for lunch. I only had my Intro to Criminology class today at 8. And then he let us out by 8:30.. such a waste! And then I had to return books at the bookstore because they sent me the wrong books, but because I ordered it on my grampa's credit card, I have to bring that in so they can put the money back on that. So I have to drive out there tonight and get the card and then bring it back again tomorrow night. sadhjhsld. And then we were invited to go to an air show or something with my step dad's dad. And then his wife called me today and said that my mother had the LIBERTY to invite us (and she has to still discuss this with her) and was wondering if we were still planning on going, because she has some other people that wanted to go. WTF. We were invited and we told them that we still planned on going. So my mom called Keith (step dad's dad) and told him that if Mike and I were invited, then they weren't going. Shes pissed, but she has reason to be. This lady does this kind of stuff ALL the time and it gets old really fast. =/ Well, I'm gonna go make some food then probably go to bed. I'm exhausted =/ I have to work 1:15-5 today too. |
