Still reading The Heart of A Father (haven’t read any more of it lately).

Really enjoyed the Alice manga. I heard there is a 3rd volume out, so I want to read it.

Read half of the Karin “sequel”.... it’s really just a collection of short works by the author of Karin, two of which have nothing to do with Karin and the last two look like they are related to Karin but I only just started the 3rd story. I didn’t like the first two stories so I hope the last two are better :/

After this, I plan on reading Trigun. I should have it finished by the end of the weekend I’m sure... I’d probably read all of it tomorrow except I want to take my computer to work with me if possible because I need to transcribe a play. It’s either do it during work time or do it at home so I might as well do it at work, since it’s for my job. I have a 5 day weekend so if possible I want to get all my work out of the way first ;)

I’m probably going to the city once or twice though and I will have plenty of time to read on the train.

Still reading The Heart of A Father (haven’t read any more of it lately). Started reading Haato no Kuni no Arisu and I’m on the 2nd volume. It’s pretty strange but I hope they make more in the future (volume 2 is from this year so it might be a while before I find more). I’m not really sure if I like it yet... I like Alice in Wonderland but this version is pretty crazy and I like the new spin on it but I’m not sure how things will turn out yet. All of the characters seem pretty crazy but they were all “mad” in the original story anyhow so it’s not that far off I guess.

Found another volume of Karin (looks like a special sequel)! And I found 3 volumes of that author's new series :3 I had to buy them new though so for 4 books it was over $20! Yuck. But then again I got volumes 1 to 14 all for 1000 yen so I guess it evens out >__< I also found Trigun, so I'm looking forward to reading lots more manga.

Reading The Heart of A Father and Full Moon o Sagashite volume 4.

I can’t believe I read all the Karin manga! I really enjoyed it. Full Moon isn’t the greatest manga in the world but I think the art is really good. As for the story, it’s very strange. I mostly enjoy reading it because of the art and because it’s easy to read. It’s really for people a lot younger than me >__< oh well. The main character is 12 haha. After this I will probably read some of the manga I bought used. I have a lot of stuff to read but it’s mostly the first volumes of different things I picked up to try them out. If I like the first volumes I might continue reading them. I got something the other day called Teriyaki Western that looks cute and another thing which is an Alice in Wonderland kind of manga. I’m excited to read them all. My boyfriend also gave me the first two volumes of Tsubasa Chronicles, so I’m looking forward to that (I watched the anime but I heard the manga is much better).

I saw another manga by the writer of Karin at the store but they only had the 2nd volume for sale so I will wait until I find the first volume. I want to read it from the beginning. I forget what it’s called but I can find it again.

Once again the Japanese Language Proficiency Test is coming up in December so let’s see if I can pass it this year! Goukaku suru you ni! I’ve been reading a lot of Japanese this year and I know I’ve gotten much better. Last year I passed the listening section but failed reading and vocabulary. I think I will do a lot better since I’ve been reading so much but I’m not sure because I haven’t been able to study any textbooks. I’m so bad at just studying vocabulary and grammar. That’s why I’m resorting to reading. Plus, I like reading anyway, and I like comics, so this is a great way to study. I’ve learned a lot this year.

Reading The Heart of A Father and Karin volume 8. Got all 14 volumes of Karin manga for 1000 yen and I love it. It's different than the anime but I find it interesting comparing them. I think even though they differ the feeling of both is very authentic.

It's been ages! I didn't mean to wait this long again. I think I fail at kiwi right now.

The great thing is that kiwi is running quickly for me for the first time in months. For the longest time it took SO long to load pages that I had to have 3 or 4 tabs running at once in order to deal with it.

Anyway. Things are going really well. I just started teaching again on Wednesday so I've been busy this week. Got some new stuff going on at my elementary schools and new materials to use so that should make things easier. This afternoon I was coloring in tons of pages of clothing for class. Going to teach 5th graders different clothes words and then have them do roleplays where they buy different clothes. I have some American toy money so it should work well. I colored in everything but now I have to cut it out and put it on cards..... sucks because I want to use it on Monday but I won't have time to get it all ready. I might just have to use them as they are for a day before I can get them all done.

A lady that works in the community center (building where I work) has moved into my apartment building! It's interesting. She brought me some potato salad last night but I haven't eaten it yet. Looks good, though.

Last night I made onion rings and fried chicken.... it was sooooo messy. I'd never made them before but I was feeling adventurous. Then I had a bad headache and felt sick so I ended up going to bed super early. I felt a lot better today, though. It's a good thing because I had to teach kindergarteners this morning and I definitely have to be in good shape to deal with them haha. But it was really fun today. I love those kids.

August 26 was me & Scot's one month anniversary :D
He called me on Skype and got on the webcam and read me a letter he wrote to me. In it he said a bunch of reasons why he likes me and he concluded by saying that he realized he is in love with me. It was so sweet. I told him that I love him too :)

Tomorrow is Saturday and I'm going to take some trains and buses so I can meet Scot near his town. I'm going to stay the night in one of the spare rooms at his church so I can hang out with him on Sunday, too.

Hope you all have a great weekend :)

Love,
Darcy
