[/bgcolor]As Isabella walked up the stairway leading to the Deans office she took a good look at the marvelous architecture the school had. It seemed everything had a dark gothic feeling to it. The dark wood walls were creepily welcoming to her. The school seemed so familiar but she was sure that she had never stepped inside it before. The halls were empty; all the students lay inside its classrooms with closed doors.
"Isabella? Didn't you hear me? Let's go inside the Deans waiting." She suddenly heard her father say.
"Yeah, I'm sorry your right let go inside." She replied and stepped into the office.
A middle-aged woman greeted them as Dean Channer. Dean Channer was short, and had long silver hair, she reminded Isabella of an elf, or something very similar. Dean Channer searched for Isabella record and stated that she seemed to have no past problems in her other schools. She invited Isabella to the schools swimming and track teams when she noticed Isabella had participated in both at her other schools. She was very tender and caring and it amazingly graceful. However, when it came to rules Dean Channer suddenly became cold and serious.
"We take rules here very seriously. I have no doubt that you will listen to all the rules I give you but be warned that if you ever decide to do something extremely stupid you will no longer be welcomed in my office." She warned, "There are things that rattle my chains and rule breaking is one of them. If you want to be my friend then head this warning."
Isabella just nodded.
"Very well then lets find someone that will be willing to show you your classes."
She grabbed the phone and turned around whispering to the person on the other line. Soon a girl around Isabella age walked in looking a little scared.
"You wanted to see me Dean Channer?" She said perturbed. She then noticed Isabella and gave a weak smile.
"Yes, Kimberly, I wanted to ask you a small favor. Would you be willing to show our new student around? We wouldn't want her to get lost on her first day at school would we?"
"Of course not Dean Channer." Kimberly replied with a small sigh, " I'd be delighted."
She walked out and Isabella followed without hesitation. She smiled at the Dean on her way out and hurried after Kimberly.
"I'm sorry how rude of me," Kimberly said turning around, "My name is Kimberly Abbot, I'm in year twelve. How about you?"
"I'm Isabella Santiago, and I'm in year twelve also. How's life here at Paxton?" She replied trying to keep up the conversation
"It's like living in prison, at least you'll be able to go home at night I presume. I have to stay in the dorms because I live too far away from here. Where are you staying?"
"My family own the Hope and Faith Mansion down by Salem. We just finished renovating it and moved in."
"How cool is that? You could have a major party at that place. Though you must have done a good job renovating it. It was a creepy mess before they started fixing it up. That weird old lady lived in it. She never spoke to anyone. So how were you related?"
"She was my great-aunt, although I never met her. We lived in California before we moved to Salem."
"How cool is that! Well we'll have to finish our talk later here's your first class. Lets get together at lunch and we'll talk more." Kimberly said opening the door for Isabella.
"All right, I'll see you then." She responded with a smile. She walked into her class introduced herself and sat down, ready to start her new class.
