Well, Justin and I are engaged. I’m pretty much the happiest girl in the entire world right now. He did it Saturday. We went to go take pictures at our favorite nature trail. Well, we were half way through the woods and we started getting eaten up by mosquitoes. We started running from them. I splatted one on my arm and blood literally went every where. It was so disgusting. Well, we got back to the clearing and were almost at the lake. Well, he put his arm around me and pulled me close which is so unlike him. I’m more of the physical cuddles person. He kept smiling and giving me his nervous awkward laugh. I knew something was up. Well, we got to the lake and were sitting on the pier. I was trying to take a picture of us holding hands. I stood up and he was sitting down. I kissed his head and he told me to back up. I did and I almost leaned where there was no more railing. He shouted, “EM! Not that far!” Then we laughed and he told me to close my eyes. Whenever I opened my eyes he was on his knee and asked me to marry him. I was steadily trying to pull my promise ring off of my finger. Haha. I shouted yes, put the ring on, and kissed him and shouted. I was so happy. I called my mom, then my dad, then my sister, Stumpy, Mere, and Katie. I’m so happy! My ring is gorgeous. After we got engaged we went and looked at Halloween costumes. I joked that most people didn’t do that after they got engaged. It was funny. It worked for us though. We ate sushi that night to celebrate. We didn’t make love until Sunday night either! Haha. Wow.

Sunday he went and shot guns and I went and spent the day with Meredith and her Cady. I did get a Halloween costume. I’m going to be the Queen of Hearts. How cute since I just got engaged. It’s strapless and looks great on me. You can tell I’ve lost weight in it. I’ll send you pictures. I’m not wearing the ugly hat with it, but I am wearing a white feather in my hair instead. I was going to reuse my pirate costume and be Marie Antoinette, but my costume is way too big.



I’ve already picked my bridal party. My sister will be my maid of honor. Meredith and Sarah Perez are my brides maids. Sarah is a really close friend that I don’t talk about enough. She was my mom’s coworker. She’s 23. She’s always been there for Justin and I. Her little boy is going to be my ring bearer and Chloe will be my flower girl. Justin’s bestman will be Colby. His groomsmen will be his little brother and Justin Allen. Katie’s going to be pissed, but she’s not one of my bride’s maids. I need easy going drama free people. Plus, she’s going to be in Hattiesburg, and I need someone here. I’ll break it to her later. My colors are going to be Robin’s Egg Blue, Chocolate Brown, and Beige. We’re going to have birds on a lot of our stuff (i.e. invitations, save the dates, etc.) We’re getting married outside in a local garden in May 2011. The same month I graduate from College. What better way to say goodbye to childhood and teenage years than starting adulthood with the man I want to be with forever? I’m excited. My mom and I are going to look at the garden Saturday. We need to book in by December so it’ll be available. I figure I need to go before it gets cold and everything in the garden dies. I want to see it in its warm beauty! I’ve obviously done a lot of planning since Saturday. Haha there’s a lot left I just wanted to get the basics thought out. Location, Date, Theme, Bridal Party, Colors: CHECK! Everything is kinda naturey. We got engaged outside (at Maye‘s lake). We’ll be married outside (in a lake in May). So the birds fit. I’ll show you two things we’re for sure getting. It’s not going to be like f’n bird mania or anything. Justin loves birds and I think they’re cute. Other than these two things, we probably won’t have any bird stuff at the wedding, but this is what I’ve found so far.

My sister also bought me my for Wedding planning book yesterday. What a good little maid of honor. I’m the happiest girl ever right now. I feel like I am so so inlove and it’s wonderful.
