Robbie brought home a note from the school nurse. Instantly I thought oh great lice (they are doing lice checks this week). Nope. He fell and hit his head, so hard it bounced off the concrete and hit it a 2nd time.
He went to the nurse, she put ice on it and sent him back to class. Sent home a note telling me about head injuries and what to keep an eye on (i already know all this).
WHY THE HELL didn't she call me. I'm so pissed off and someone is going to hear about it tomorrow.
He has 2 large bumps, one on the back of his head and one on the right side. Thats how hard he hit, that it bounced and hit again.
Bumps are a good thing, but there is still the risk of something being wrong.
Happy Mother's Day to all my fellow KB mamas!

They opened up a new nature walk not far from us so hopefully we are going to go check it out this afternoon. I'm going with D's mom and sister, and our daughters for lunch. We've been doing this for the last 5 years. ON Father's day the guys will take the boys out for lunch.
Its actually really fun and make the kids feel important too.
Then we are all going out to eat tomorrow night. We want to go to Hometown Buffet, and well I'm not standing in line for lunch, its that much worse when you have 10 kids ages 16, 9, 7, 5, 5, 4, 3, 3, and 15 months.
So we are going to go in the evening after the lunch crowd dies down.
Its cold. Its only 54 right now. I swear Mother Nature needs to make up her mind. A week ago it was almost 100 then this week its barely 60. Drastic changes in temps like that make me hurt. Not to mention it causes JayLyn a lot of problems.
Friday I'm going with Robbie's class on a field trip so I will be thankful then for the cooler weather. I just wish it'd make up its mind if its going to be cold or hot.
I need to call the doctor's office today and see if they scheduled my ct scan yet. I have a lot going on the next 2 weeks so I'm hoping I have some say so in what day it is. Friday I have Robbie's fieldtrip. Tuesday I'm going to the zoo with a 1st grade class, and then Thursday I have Jay's echo and we are planning on leaving as soon as thats over.
I'll be glad when we are back from up north. I should have an idea of a place to live so I can stop stressing about that. Thats my biggest stress right now is worrying about not having a place to live or a someone cheaper apartment. We can't afford $1800 for a freaking apartment!

World Lupus DayMay 10, 2008
I went to the doctor today to get the results of the latest round of tests on my thyroid. Still the same, just 1 point off. This is frustrating because right now they want to do a wait and see instead of giving me meds.
However, my lymph nodes are swollen. REALLY swollen. So she ordered a soft tissue ct scan to make sure nothing else is going on that would cause them to be this swollen. It is a symptom of Lupus, but not a common one. I swear I need a new body.
Now for the bitch that thinks she's going to find out some secret life of mine by reading this, all I can say is I feel so bad for you. Not only for you but for your husband and your child. You should put the effort you spend trying to spy on me and put it towards your husband and your child.
There once was a time I wondered why we weren't friends any more. Now I remember why. Read all you want, I have nothing to hide. All you're doing to yourself is making yourself look stupid.
I'll leave you with this. A picture. Of my medicine bottle. Look up what
Plaquenil is for. There I even gave you a link for it to make it easier.
