So, my 98th one is.. Bound Beauty. Tsu-kun! ::huggles:: Oh, look, Michelle! I'm catching up to you in the journal (your journal is at 99 right now..)! Well, tech'.. I HAVE caught up with you already..lol.

Say Happy Birthday to Tsuna from KHR! His birthday will be on the 14th. Also say, Happy LATE birthday to Naruto! His birthday was on the 10th.. and then Happy birthday to my sister who.. had her birthday today..lol.

No, new anime and/or manga news today.

Plot:
"Legend says that fated lovers are bound together by an invisible red thread. Most people think it's superstition, but seventeen-year-old Chiyako knows better -- she can see them! Yearning to be an independent adult, she's struggling to earn enough money to move out of her parents' house. Her path is clear, until a chance encounter with a mysterious group of hot guys known as the Tyers shows her that she has the power to pull all of fate's strings…though doing so binds her into the form of a child!" - Go!Comi.com

Manga:
Manga Cover

If it wasn't for the fact that I read this series (and A Wiseman Sleeps) before.. (on some site that no longer exists), Her Majesty's Dog, I would not have gotten the series. The mangaka bothers me..lol. Well, I should say, she bothers me in Her Majesty's Dog, but in A Wiseman Sleeps and this series.. she only sort of bothers me. I don't know why, but she just does.. ::shrugs::

I do, however, like this series! It does, indeed, involve the supernatural (heh, heh.. sorry).. but it's also funny, has a lot of twists and surprises, likable (and some non-likable) characters, and is nicely drawn. But, the plot.. ::laughs:: "A bunch of hot guys...!" Honestly..::rolls eyes and laughs::
----
We meet Chiyako, a girl who can see the red strings of fate and uses this ability for her benefit. Simply put, she will tell you if your destinted to be with someone or not and you pay her. ::nods:: We learn that she's desperately trying to get money, so she can move out from her fathers house and live on her own.. and be adult-like. She mentions how she doesn't like her father and says she doesn't want to be treated like a little kid anymore.
While walking with friends, she runs into Hirotsuna who is rumored to be in the yakuza. He threatens Chiyako about getting paid on his grounds.. she quickly points out a nude parade and dashes off as Hirotsuna looks to see (there really wasn't one).
We then see her at Akeo-sensei's calligraphy school. She is trying to write out Adult and Money (or something like like "I want to be a adult soon and make money.") but insteads writes that she hopes she can marry money soon, which Akeo-sensei points out. We notice that Chiyako has a crush on Akeo-sensei, but says that they aren't meant to be because their strings do not connect. Akeo-sensei walks away, leaving Chiyako to daydream and get the word, "pig" written on her forehead by some little boys. She beats them up and goes to wash her forehead off.
While walking by a room she hears Hirotsuna voice and wonders why he is there. She peeks into a room and sees Hirotsuna and Akeo-sensei, talking angrly (well Akeo-sensei is anyhow) about not catching the person who can see the red string. Wondering if her beloved Akeo-sensei is invovled with the yakuza she feels a string wrap around her neck and is pushed into the room. A man named Aya says he caught an eavesdropper and Hirotsuna says that she's the girl he couldn't catch! Through some stuff Chiyako manages to run away, only to fall down some strairs. She hits the bottom and is greeted by white string wrapping around her, tighting, tighting, and tighting.
Chiyako wakes up, is greeted by the three men, and is told to stay calm. She doesn't understand and a mirror is brought in front of her.. She has turned into a little girl (poor, poor Chiyako). Shock and horror fill her, she runs away, encounters a ghost, tries to defeat it herself, can't, gets help by the three guys.. and then told about the strings. She transforms into her teenage form, defeats the evil ghost, and is transformed back into a little girl..
----
Sadly, when she transforms.. her clothes rip and she's left naked..lol. Anyway, Chiyako has a dark past... well, actually, all the characters seem to have one. ::shrugs:: But, Chiyako really wanted to grow up, but because the White String binds her into a form of a child, she can't. ::goes "aw":: Chiyako has a HUGE crush on Akeo-sensei and while she tries her best to hide it.. basically everyone knows..lol. She also has a bond going on with him, it's cute.. in a way.
Hirotsuna is rumored to be in the yazuka and acts like he is.. but he isn't. He's a loud mouth and bickers with Chiyako a lot.. but he will protect her. He looks up to Akeo-nii-san and Aya-nii-san Hirotsuna doesn't look like someone you want to cross, and his temper certainly proves it! He can't stand whining, and thinks Chiyako is just a spoiled brat who doesn't deserve the powers given to her...but his harsh exterior hides profound pain, because everyone who's been given the powers of the Five Threads must sacrifice something precious in return... (Go!Comi)
Akeo-sensei is the "leader" of the tyers (so to speak). Akeo-sensei is shown to be smart, and caring.. but at the same time there is something lurking behind his eyes and he has also shown a really scary face. Also, in some omakes it's shown that he can be rather clueless about things..lol.
Aya is sadistic, sarcastic, and adores picking on Chiyako. He wears glasses. They say there's one in every family, and this guy certainly proves it! Quirky, silly and frighteningly intelligent, Aya is always on top of any situation. He seems to know everything about everyone, and yet he rarely says anything at all about himself... (Go!Comi)

Art: I, personally, think the art is better drawn in this series, than in.. uh.. Her Majesty's Dog. It's cleaning. ::nods:: Plus, it's good!

jclover_88: Yeah, I heard that TMoHS 2nd season was all that great as well.. But, we'll just have to wait and see for ourselves. ::shrugs:: I would love for OHSHC to get a 2nd season! Same for Skip Beat.. and quite a few others..lol.

Utau (the blonde girl that was standing next to Ikuto) will probably grow on you.. maybe. She sort of has for me.. kinda..

Nah, they snag her fast and refuse to let her go no matter what. [;)]

Aw, well, yes.. he does look a little girly (especially in a future episode.. HILARIOUS!), but I still really like Tadase. He's a nice guy/boy. Plus, I LOVE his chara change..::laughs::

Nadeshiko's chara change was also very funny, but yes! Tadase's was even more so.

Hmm.. ::ponders this:: I don't think so, but maybe. ::shrugs:: I like TMM because it's like SM, but I'm not sure if SC is like SM though.. hmmm.

I don't know, but ti bothers me that they're in elementary school! Ikuto is supposed to be a male lead for Amu or something and he's in High School.. um.. liking the younger girls much..? ::pushes it away:: Do they get older? So far.. no. they maybe go up ONE grade, but that's all.

Maybe, if they don't change the way they're doing the anime now. I watched the first episode of the new season and it was VERY disappointing. It had maybe.. 10 minutes of the anime and the rest was nonesense with actual HUMANS talking.. If the people don't fix that soon, a lot of people will abandon the anime..

Well, I'm glad then! [|)]

So, my 97th one is.. Shugo Chara. The gifs are Amu's Gaurdian Characters! Anyway, in my last entry about Oresama Teacher, I forgot to mention who the mangaka was. ::sheepish laugh:: That's what I get for rushing it, I guess. Anyway, the mangaka is Izumi Tsubaki.

In Anime News: Darker Than Black is getting a 2nd season. [:)]

Plot:
"Every child has an egg in their heart, unseen at first, an egg with the would-be self of their dreams. Amu's job is to capture and restore x-eggs to their orginal form. She does this with the help of her three Shugo Chara (guardian characters or her would be selves), Ran, Miki and Su. Thanks to them she can change her character and abilities, and so fight against the mysterious organization Easter which aim is to find a special egg called Embryo using the x-eggs." - AnimeNewsNetwork.com

Anime:
Anime Image (left to right) First Row: Miki, Ran, and Suu. Second Row:Utau, Ikuto, Tadase, Nadeshiko, Amu, Yaya, Seiichiro, Kukai, & Ami. Back Row: Nikaidou, Hoshina, Yukari, Random Classmate, Random Classmate, Saya, Saeki, Tsukasa, Amu and Ami's Mom, & Amu and Ami's Dad.

I shall try my upmost best not to reveal any spoilers. But, fair warning~! This entry is mostly going to be needed to be highlighted..lol. So, yeah.. on with the entry then!

I founds out about this series a long while ago and read the first couple chapters of the manga before totally and utterly forgetting it. ::sheepish laugh:: While on cruncyroll one day, I came across the anime with the whole, "Oh, yeah.. I remember this.." thing going on for me and decided to watch it. The anime hooked me super fast and hard. I love the series and I'm glad I stumbled across it again. It's interesting, cutely & nicely drawn/animated, very amusing, has VERY good characters, is unique, has good music/tunes, and is just good over all. ::nods::
----
It starts off with us meeting Seiichiro who is being bullied for his lunch money, when Amu Hinamori, a girl discribed as "cool and spicy" by her classmates.. or.. her WHOLE school really (and her parents) walks up saying that the bullies and Seiichiro are in her way (she's walking to school). The bullies gasp in horror and ramble on about how she beat the soccer team single handedly, and how even the principal won't defy her.. and so on and so forth. The bullies run off in fright leaving Seiichiro to thank Amu and from that moment on.. become the biggest, Amu fan EVER.. ::ahem:: Anyway, Amu wonders who starts such rumors about her defeating the succer team and whatnot and makes her way to school, still acting "cool." At school a bunch of her female classmates go on about how cool she is and how cool her parents are. Her mother being a famous journalist and her father being a famous photographer. Amu sighs, "They're gossiping again. That's what I'm like at all."
We skip to her house and find out that her mother writes in the Housewives Daily magazine and her father photographs birds and her baby sister, Ami. Her family is gathered around eating dinner and watching a pyshic on TV who says that Guardian characters are alway with you... etc. Amu says it's stupid and goes up to her room. Her parents call her "cool" and do a weird little dance.. ::shrugs:: ANYWAY, up in her room Amu flops on her bed and freaks out about the psychic and starts acting totally.. "uncool". We find out that she's really just a shy, timid girl who only acts cool because she doesn't know how to talk with others. Also, her mothers taste in clothes puts her at being punk goth (her mother buys her clothes), while her sister is.. lolita (?). She makes a wish that night, hoping to be more like her true self and not her "outer character" (who she is in front of others).
The next day she wakes up and finds three eggs in her bed. She freaks out about laying eggs and then brings them to school (::shrugs::). At school, Amu bumps into the Guardians of Seiyo Elementary (oh, yeah. Amu and co. are elementary school kids...). In the Kings Chair: Tadase, in the Queens Chair: Nadeshiko, in the Jacks Chair: Kukai, and in the Ace Chair: Yaya. The guardians plan social events, protect students from invasions of privacy, and look out for all students. These Guardians even have a Royal Garden where they hold Tea Parties and on top of everything.. they have a cape that only they can wear. Amu doesn't like the cape and I'm with her on that one..lol.
::ahem:: We find out that Amu has a crush on Tadase, who is also called, "the prince".. because he looks like, I guess. After telling herself that since she's an uncute girl.. she isn't allowed to like the prince, one of her eggs start to move. She pushes it back in her bag and is stopped by Tadase as she tries to run away when she notices others looking at her. Tadase saw her three eggs, Amu quickly reverts back into her Cool and spicy character and smacks his hand away, telling him not to touch her and calling him a shrimp (lol). Amu walks away, depressed that she acted like that and we find out that all the Guardians saw her eggs.
Through some more stuff, we learn about Guardian Characters. They are characters born from the egg in everyones hearts. They are who the person truly wants to be. Amu meets the Tadase, Nadeshiko, Kukai, and Yaya's character guardians, freaks out, runs away. Runs into Ikuto who says he's looking for the embryo, grabs for Amu's eggs. Amu character tranforms with one of her eggs that hatched, Ran. She transforms into Amulet Heart, gets her other eggs back and is dubbed the Jokers Chair in the Guardians. AND we just follow along from then on learning about the Guardians, The Guardian Characters, the Easter Company, and the Embryo.
----
Good golly that was long. I apologize, I was getting carried away and when I noticed, I cut it short..lol.

Amu is the main character. She isn't the typical overly bubbily and giggly, klutzy main character. She can be grumpy and will talk back. But, she's still kind and caring. She is also the only person to have three Character Guardians. Ran, Miki, and Suu and Dia, which means she actually has four. Ran came from an egg that had hearts around it, so when Amu Chara changes, her little X shaped hair clip changes into a heart shaped one. And when she Character Transforms, she wears a cheerleader outfit and is called, Amulet Heart. Miki came from an egg that had spades around in, so when Amu Character changes with Miki, her hair clip turns into a spade and when she Character transforms with Miki she is called, Amulet Spade. Suu came from an egg with clovers around it. When Chara Changing with Suu, her X becomes a clover and when she Character Transforms with Suu she becomes Amulet Clover. To see what the Character Transformations look like, click HERE Click Here for more info. WILL HAVE SPOILERS
Tadase is called the prince and is the leader of the schools Guardians, sitting in the Kings Chair. Tadase is very polite and soft spoken. His Guardian Character is Kiseki who looks like a miniture Tadase in royal looking clothes. He also has a crown and a cape. Tadase character changes with Kiseki when someone mentions the word, prince and become loud, demanding, and calls for world domination. When it happened, it made me laugh soooooooo much. Nadeshiko is in the Queen's chair and is someone Amu connects with really fast. Nadeshiko is also polite and also very soft spoken. She is training to be a traditional Japanese dancer. When they character change Nadeshiko becomes more aggressive and very masculine; Nagihiko (Nadeshiko is actually a boy who is named Nagihiko), inadvertantly, also gains a naginata, which he promptly uses. Another one that made me laugh so freaken hard. And when Nagi character changes with Rhythm is also rather amusing. But when they Character Transform and become Beat Jumper it's interesting. There are a LOT more characters, but I'll leave it at that and just mention a few more things before ending this entry.

Favorite Character Changes and Transformations: I have a lot, and so not to give anything away, I'll just mention the names and hide the others (highlight if you wish to read).
Character Changes
1) Tadase and Kiseki
2) Nadeshiko and Temari (highlight) Nagihiko and Rhythm
3) Ikuto and Yoru.
Character Transformations
1) Amu and Miki -- Amulet Spade.. Who didn't see that one coming (hello, blue..)? But, that's not the only reason I like it..lol. I also like it because I like the outfit and powers.
2) (highlight) Kairi and Musashi -- Samurai Soul We only get to see it once, but it's awesome!
3) (highlight) Kukai and Daichi -- Sky Jack Just awesome.. I think we only get to see it twice though ::le sigh::
4) (highlight) Utau and El -- Seraphic Charm I mostly like the power..
5) Amu and (highlight) Il -- Amulet Devil Another one where I liked the power.

Favorite Guardian Characters:
1) Kiseki. Oh, I love him. He's so funny and cute.
2) Yoru. ::huggles:: Near the end of the 2nd season I kept wanting to huggle him. I love how he ends everything with, "nya".
3) Kusukusu. Can't say anymore..::ahem::
4) Ran. Hop, step, jump!
5) Miki. Drew, draw, drawn!
6) Suu. Chip, syrup, whip!

Music: wonderful! I love most of the opening themes and the closing themes. The background music fits really well, and the music for Amu's character transformations are wonderful... and when she uses her Lock on! thing, the music is awesome!

Certain Hair Style: Now.. I've noticed a certain hair style popping up in Peach-Pit's mangas/animes... well, in the two I've seen anyhow. Tadase, Kiseki, Chairman, Ikuto, Tsukasa, Michiru Kita (Zombie-laon), Shito Tachibana (Zombie-loan), Chitose (Zombie-loan), and Bekko (Zombie-loan).. all, basically, have the same hair styles. ::shrugs::

Her family is gathered around eating dinner and watching a psychic on TV who says that Guardian characters are alway with you...
::ahem:: We find out that Amu has a crush on Tadase, who is also called, "the prince".. because he looks like one, I guess.

Age the age os the characters bother me. Ikuto is in high school, and Utau is in middle school. I started my job at Swiss Colony (uh.. sort of like a food gift factory) again ::deep, deep sigh:: and I might be the only one doing the Utility Set Up (I get the lines ready for the other workers) stuff for 3 lines!!!! Not at ALL thrilled with that. Plus, if there is someone else there.. that is new they better not expect me to train them! I'm not good enough with the job, yet, to train someone else..::nervous laugh::

Anyway... In Manga News: Beast Master got licensed by SjojoBeat! So, I won't be featuring it for one of my campains to get it licensed. [;)] Same goes for Dear School Gang Leader (CMX licensed it)! Hoo-rah! ::does a little dance::

Plot:
"Kurosaki Mafuyu was a juvenile delinquent and head of her gang before her subsequent arrest got her expelled from high school. Now that she’s transferred to a new high school, she’s determined to become an “ultra-shiny, super feminine high school student.” But with a new friend like Hayasaka-kun and a homeroom teacher like Saeki Takaomi (who may be more than he seems), will Mafuyu really be able to live a girly-girl high school life!?" - baka-updates.com

Manga:
Manga Cover it's rather small.. but it was the best I could do, sorry.

Well, whadda ya know.. no supernatural stuff!! It seems like (to me) that most of the stuff I have featured had some sort of supernatural thing going for it.. heh, heh. ANYWAY, this manga is interesting, HILARIOUS, has good characters one adores, and is nicely drawn.

We meet Mafuyu who is living on her own, because she was sent to another school by her mother, after she got expelled from her last school for being a juvenile delinquent and head of her gang. We get flash back of what happened and find out her subordinates bascially abandon her when the cops (because of a fight) came and she was the one to get caught. It was a rather amusing moment. :ahem:: Mafuyu is actually totally excited to be going to a new school so she can have a new high school life. She wants to be a sweet girl, or as she puts it an, "ultra-shiny, super feminine high school student." Sadly, things don't really go her way because she isn't the luckiest person around. On her way home from buying food, she runs into a man who is about to be beaten up. She tries her best not to get involved, arguing with herself about it, but ends up getting involved anyway when the bad guy pulls out a knife. She and the man she "saved" walk together and he teases her, which annoys her, and makes her never want to meet the guy again.
Again, she isn't lucky... for he is her homeroom teacher, Saeki Takaomi, and if she doesn't want to get expelled again for fighting.. she best do what she's told.. in other words... Blackmail in a very humorous way. Also, Takaomi hints that he knows Mafuyu really well.. Oooh, mysterious! Mafuyu also meets Hayasaka-kun who figures her out from the get go.. but at the same time doesn't believe that Mafuyu is smart enough to be a gang boss... so he tries to stay away from her. No can do for him, 'cause she's attached herself to him. Him being her first friend after all... SOOooooOOOooo, from there we just follow along and meet other gang bosses, how she connects with Hayasaka-kun, find out what Takaomi is about, and actually get to meet some of Mafuyu's subordinates.
Much, much the HUMOR in this manga. Cracks me up so much, I love it. But, then again, I love to laugh.. ::shrugs::
----
Mafuyu isn't the smartest, I'll edit to that. Well, okay. She IS smart, she can calculate a battle (uh.. she can figure things out...like; she can figure out how to untie herself, escape from a building, and how to make sure no one gets hurt), and she can spot a strong person right away. But, she sometimes doesn't think things through and that leads her into odd situations. -_-" Aside from that, she's a good character. She's got a a big heart and will dress up as a boy or wear a really ugly bunny mask and pretend she is a bunny spirit to protect her friends. She's also beat the living day lights out of anyone who even DARES to try to hurt her friends. Mafuyu is very strong and can take a beating. She also knows morse code for whatever reason..lol.
Hayasaka-kun he is freaked out by Mafuyu (she does tend to come on a tab bit strong with the whole friendship thing), and believes that she can fight well. But, since he doesn't see her as someone smart, he sort of doesn't believe it she can fight well as well. Hayasaka-kun... well, he likes to fight and because of that he's put Mafuyu in trouble over and over again.. without knowing that he's doing it..lol. He has fighting on the brain and he's not that good, so it's rather amusing.
Takaomi is a strange homeroom teacher, but very amusing. He'll defend his students and he DOES care about them, but a lot of the students are afraid of him. He also tends to favor Mafuyu and Hayasaka.. but there is a reason as to why... READ and find out! [;)] [:P]

Now, I have another manga from the same mangaka that I also really like, but I find this one to be better drawn. too me is seemed like the first one was working out the kinks and stuff, while this one flows well. ::nods:: Anyway, let's get this licensed as well, nee? Lol.

THIS WAS RUSHED! Sorry!

For Your Information:
-- The series is NOT licensed, but it's 5 volumes and ongoing. --

Rating:
This is how the ratings will go. [|)]
«: means I thought it was "HORRIBLE!" It has ruined my eyes just by seeing it. [:/]
««: means I thought it was "Eh..::shrugs::". A very, very small chance I'd might continue with it.
«««: means I thought it was "Alright.." and will most likely come back to it and continue with it.. after I read/watch the better ones, of course. [;)]
««««: means I thought the manga/anime was "Wonder-full ::claps::"! I will totally continue with it.
«««««: means I thought it was "Unbelievably AWESOME!" And that also means that I will encourage, pester, and annoying people about watching/reading it. ::thumbs up:: [:P]

jclover_88: They announced it (the Kimi ni Todoke anime) a week before I did my entry on it. I did mention it in that entry. [;)]

It was a contest on crunchyroll.com were you had to watch the anime Saki and get mahjong tiles to win a 3 month membership for free. It's a VERY boring anime..

Just in case. Didn't want to spoil anything after all.

I have a Yuki bookmark that I got before I knew what FB was about..lol.

I shall explain the name in a k/n, because I don't have time right now. Sorry.

Very true. The director ones are USUALLY boring..lol.

What do you think of Japanse music videos? - yeah, to me, they are hit-or-miss, too. Sometimes they are good, or are just okay, but then sometimes I'm left with the thought, "What were they thinking?"

I love the colors in this layout .^_^. Make me feel warm.

Well, good luck with the job! you'll have it for awhile now, right? If I remember from a year back, it is pretty much seasonal, right? Well, good luck chica! Keep working for the chocolate! Think of Huni-senpai!

yeah! I love when things get licensed. Just wish certain anime would .^_^. (Ahem...KHR and Shugo Chara.)

Oh, no, that blackmail sounds bad. Poor girl.

It's like somehow KHR-related because of the gang stuff .^_^.

I looked at some of the scans, and the main character reminds me, at least physically, of Lavie from Last Exile.

Gah! I may not read the next entry. I'm too scared of spoilers for Shugo Chara .>_<. (the series ended? I thought it hadn't.)

Thanks for the link to the Digest!

Okay, don't forget to explain the Japenese for Fruits Basket to me next time, please! :)

Owari.
