Found Ya! How to Use Friendfinder!

01/26/09 01:08 pm | 3 Comments | Permanent link

Hello my loyal Kiwis!

A lot of you have been sending me KiwiNotes asking how to find friends (btw I'm so sorry I don't have time to respond to every message! I wish I could!) so I figured I'd talk a bit about Friendfinder.

Before you begin, you should really update your own profile so that more people can find you! Friending is a two-way street, after all!

I admit, this feature is a little tricky to find here... here's the best way to get to it: just follow this link. Now fill in everything you can about what kind of people you're trying to find. Click, "Find," then friend away! It's that simple.

I know, I know, what about people you already know? Well, if they're not already on KiwiBox, you can do something about that! Just refer them to the site... you'll gain a friend AND 200 KiwiPoints! Check my last post for more information on that.

Finally, don't be afraid to take a shot in the dark and friend request a person who has an interesting profile. What's the worst that could happen? Most likely, you'll end up having great conversations about things you have in common.

Well, I hope that helped! Keep sending me KiwiNotes so I get an idea of what I should write about next. See you later, Kiwis!

Hey Snowboarding fans... Congrats to Shaun White!

Hey Kiwis!
This is my fave part of winter: The Winter X Games! I'm no expert, but it's so much fun to watch. It's Winter's real saving grace ;)

Anyway, congratulations to Shaun White, who took home his unprecedented 9th Winter X Games Gold! (Girlfriend wants some lessons! lol)

This is perfect timing to remind you guys about the Target Contest, where you can enter to win a Peek email device or a Shaun White Snowboarding Game, made exclusively for Target. Check it out and drop me a line!

Rack Up Kiwipoints FAST by Referring Friends! Here’s How…

I don't know why I didn't think of telling you this earlier! It's so simple:

1. In the box all the way to the left when you log in (it contains your picture, "Your Links" and "Your Status"), see where it says "Send This To Your Friends, Earn 200 KiwiPoints"? If you don't see it, it should be two down from your status, and right above your Kiwinotes.

The link should read: http://www.Kiwibox.com/signup/friend/your_user_name

So mine says: kiwibox.com/signup/friend/Kiwigirl
If your username is, say, jonasgirl2009, it will say, …/signup/friend/jonasgirl2009. Get it? Great!

2. Send that link to all of your friends who aren't signed up. I know you have tons of friends, and what better way is there to get more friends on Kiwibox than to tell people you know!

3. Here's how it works: When your friends follow that link, they will see a form for them to sign up, as well as a box that says they were referred by you. When your friend registers, you get 200 KiwiPoints! And the best part is, this isn't a one time deal. You get 200 KiwiPoints for each and every friend you refer. Giving out that link is literally the only thing you have to do.

4. Remember how you received 200 KiwiPoints just for signing up? Well, your friend still receives those KiwiPoints, but they also get an additional 200 KiwiPoints by signing up through that link!

How easy is that?! You get to help out yourself and all your friends, just by giving them a link!

Well, what are you waiting for? Start telling your friends! [:)]

See you later,
Kiwigirl

How to play games and win prizes!

10/30/08 11:05 am | 27 Comments | Permanent link

Hey Kiwis!

I wanted to let you in on my little secret for racking up all those Kiwi Points. Have you checked out the Kiwibox arcade? There are a bunch of fun games, and you can win cool prizes too!! If you are one of the top ten ranked players at the end of the day, you receive KiwiPoints. The link to the games can be found right in your command center, under "Play Games"

A couple of my favorite Kiwibox games are; KiwiBlox, a twist on the class arcade favorite Tetris, and KiwiSnake, where your snake grows larger as you eat all the kiwis on the screen and try not to eat your tail! There are also games like Hangman, Poker, and Javanoid, a fun block-breaker game. You can have fun playing all these games and win Kiwi Points to redeem for cool prizes!

To see the prizes you can get by redeeming your KiwiPoints, simply click on the number of KiwiPoints you have. This is displayed in the bottom of the command center. If you’re skilled enough and rack up points you can win some MAJOR prizes. I got a sweet iPod nano last week and I'm currently saving up for a PS3!

Hope all you Kiwis get a chance to check out these games and the cool prizes you can get! Sorry to run so soon, but I spent all my points and need to win some more!

XOXO
