We recently caught up with the stunning Alicia Keys at the premiere of the documentary "We Are Together." Ms. Keys is the global ambassador for the well known charity Keep A Child Alive, which fights against the AIDS pandemic in Africa. Words cannot express how important this charity is. It’s the one and only Kiwigirl once again. See… I’m keeping up with my journal! It’s Thursday and a gorgeous day in NYC. I really cannot wait for the weekend. The Fourth of July is going to be HUGE this year and plus everyone has the day off. There is nothing like a good BBQ, an ice cold drink, friends, family, and sparklers! What are you guys doing for the Fourth?

Speaking of the Fourth of July, if you guys couldn’t tell, it’s our Fourth of July Issue, and we’ve got some great stuff that’s definitely worth checking out. But first, I have got to tell you about
Kiwibox Mobile. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you HAVE to. The other day I was on the train and read the entire new issue. It’s so great when you are on the go and want to stay connected, especially with all the traveling you will be doing over the holiday weekend! Then I checked my profile comments, and of course, there were none. [:(] What is up with that? Can someone please leave me some love!?

Hey Kiwis!



I know what you’re thinking. I’ve been the Kiwigirl for ages and I’ve never kept a journal. It is my SUMMER 08 resolution to update this journal regularly and if I don’t, you can all yell at me. : P

Summer has just kicked off and things are heating up here in New York City where the Kiwibox Headquarters are. There sure is a lot going on at the box! We are halfway through our two week 2008 Summer Fashion issue and what an issue it has been! Have you guys seen our super fierce swimsuit photo shoot aboard the Shearwater in New York harbor? But if you really want to know the inside scoop, I can tell you! It was so hot that day that our models were ready to faint. The make up was literally melting off their faces! But the Kiwi Staffers kept everyone well hydrated. Remember that Kiwis, H20 is way important in the summer heat.

Speaking of H20, did you know you have to pay nearly 10 bucks to shower at the Bonnaroo Music Festival? Our music guru Steven just got back from the annual music fiesta where he roughed it for 4 days. Lucky for us, he gave us a taste of what it was like and kept a video diary. He even got really sneaky and recorded some exclusive live performance footage. Check it out here.

I guess we all can’t have such exciting weekends like Steven had. Mine was pretty dull, although I did get to catch the new “Get Smart” movie starring Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway.
