This weekend was the Siren music festival on Coney Island, which is as scary and entertaining as always. The line up was better last year, but I lay in the sun with my friends for a few hours and got a little burned while we watched the strange mix of people walk by.

Today I spent most of the day trying to remember what good books I had read, so that I could recommend them to kiwibox readers (thank god for Wikipedia). Since Independence day is coming up, the articles are 4th of July themed-- or as 4th of July themed as contemporary literature can go.
