Michael!! Snow!!

  • 12/07/09 4:49 pm
Michael and I have been texting and Facebook chatting a lot over the last week! I really like him. Friday night, I met him at a movie theater, and we saw Everybody's Fine. Good movie! Friday was a short night, and I got another goodnight kiss. We parted ways, and I went out with some friends to Old Chicago. Brent was our server, and he gave me a free beer for being high school friends. So that was a good night.

Saturday was a great day. Work was crazy, but I loved it. I was running around everywhere, and driving a forklift for hours. I got home, and the parents were going to go to Rookies and wanted to know if I wanted to join them. I drove separately, and went and had dinner.  I thought about having a Boulevard, since I just discovered they have Boulevards there, but I didn't. I knew I'd be having some beer later, and I didn't want to start early. So, I drive over to The Hat after dinner, and join the karaoke crowd. The whole back room was full! I hadn't seen it like that before! Chris, Stacy and Tony were already there, and they knew Michael and I were coming, so they had seats for us. Michael didn't get there until about 10:30, so I was there early. I had a few boulevards, and some of Michael's Miller Lite. Michael also had a shot of tequila. Anyway, we talked some, and listened to the singers. I had a good time. Michael walked me to my car afterward, and we talked some more. More goodnight kisses :)

We'll probably be going to karaoke and dinner again on Tuesday, but I don't know if we will if it snows like it's supposed to. I've got my fingers crossed that it goes around us.  I really want to see him again. I think about him a lot. There's a really good picture of the two of us on Facebook. I can't remember the last time I've been this happy about someone. Derrijk I liked, but he was unattainable, although I did let myself like him a little too much. Before Derrijk, there was Josh, but he wasn't really much of anything. The only other guy was Jacob, and that was years ago now. Anyway, I know Michael likes me, and I like him, and we're both looking for someone. I'm wondering when we'll make it official. We'll see.

I think everyone at work knows something's up. I've been unusually happy lately. I've been smiling all the time, thinking about him.

The only dim spot in my life right now is school. I've let myself slide a little bit this semester. I don't think I did too well on my precalc test last week. I've got a huge speech to prepare for in speech, and I haven't done any research or my plan yet for it. I turned in my gender psych paper at least a week late. I'll have to do a ton of studying for western civ. I'd be happy if I could pull out a B in everything, although I'm not entirely sure that's possibly. We'll see.

Oh! And we got snow overnight!! I love snow!!

Very good night!

Well, tonight was a great night! We enjoyed a good dinner at Village Inn (where he picked up the tab and I left the tip). He followed me to karaoke since he didn't know where it was. Turns out we were there waaaaaay early, but we played a game of pool to kill time. I warned him I played horribly. I was solids, my first shot I accidentally knocked the 8 ball in. Oops! He ended up winning the game, but it was close. Then Tony and Stacy showed up. Michael and I shared two pitchers of beer, but he had most of it. We talked a lot. I talked Tony into singing a duet with me (since Michael won't sing), and we sang I'll Cover You from RENT. Turns out we sucked, but we're going to work on it. Anyway, it was a good night with good songs and good singers. Except one girl sounded like she came direct from Rocky Horror Picture Show. She was weird. Michael and I sat closer and closer together. Fast forward to the end: he walked me out to my car, and I got a few good night kisses.

I feel really good about this. I like him, and we have a lot in common. And he's available. So I can like him without everything ending up like it did with Derrijk.

I've been meaning to call Derrijk, but it just never happened. We're still friends and see each other once in a while, so we'll see.

Sounds like Michael and I might be going out on Friday night. That means skipping out on Old Chicago, but oh well.

:D

Plans tonight!

Things have been better this last week.

Thanksgiving was pretty good, uneventful. Played in a euchre tournament, but lost. Had fun showing off my new car. Went to Lidija's after that, and hung out for a while.

Friday night, went to OC with Chris. Played trivia, drank good beer, ate good food. Played photo hunt for a solid hour. Love that game! Drove the new car, and talked with Chris a lot. Things appear to be looking up for us.

Saturday is the family Christmas party. It was pretty boring, and I was drinking draft Killian's. Then, Chris picks me up and we go to The Hat to listen to Stacy sing karaoke. Two of Stacy's friends that I hadn't met before show up, Julie and Michael. Um, well, Michael and I kind of hit it off. More on that later. I search for songs to sing, but don't find any I have prepared, so I vow to sing next week. Chris then drove me home, which is the complete opposite end of town. :)

Anyway, so Michael and I've been chatting on Facebook a bit, and then he messaged me his number, saying feel free to text him if I wanted. We exchange a few dozen more messages, then Michael calls me. We talked about anything and everything. We talked for an hour and seven minutes. He asked me if I was seeing anyone, and I said no. We're both going to karaoke again on Saturday night. I have a feeling I'll be sitting next to him, and there's a possibility that I might not be single by the end of the night. I've got fingers crossed! We seem to have quite a bit in common.

Anyway, work is going well. Freezer/cooler is a different challenge, but at least I'm working hard again. I got a good pair of gloves, and that makes a world of difference. I don't quite understand the rotation patterns in the cooler, but I do what I can. Keeping up with the milk is the most difficult part. I haven't had to run a register much, and that's awesome. I thought I'd be on one all the time again once I moved back.

My car is still awesome, except for some bird shit on it. My sister made me park under the tree. Grrr. I told her in the spring I cannot park under the tree bc of that. We'll see what happens. Pictures have been posted on Facebook, and when I have more time I'll see if I can manage to get one or two on here.

I'm halfway through my second mini tour at Old Chicago! That's exciting! I'm liking so many different beers. If Michael gets a pitcher of Coors Light again on Saturday, I might be drinking that. I'll give it a try!

Well, I think that might be it for now.

New car!!!

:D :D

I got my new car!

I love it!

I'll post pictures on the next sunny day. It's been really rainy here lately!

I know people will wonder what kind, so I'll go ahead and say it. It's a 2010 Honda Fit Sport in Blackberry Pearl, a dark purpley color. I love it!!
