Today could have been a lot better than what it turned out to be. In English we took a Poe poetry test that was pretty easy. In Computers III we had to work on a presentation. We had to use Corel and it was extremely difficult. Mrs. Woloszyk gave up on trying to get it to work but I am still using the program. Journalism class meant more work on the index. I have to figure out how to get the numbers to line up so that it looks neat and orderly.

I went down to my aunt's house during lunch to pick up some of the food that was there so I could take it home before it expired. There really is no use in keeping it there and letting it go to waste is there?

World History class was the same old same old. People get called on for participation points and Mr. Hopp rarely calls on me. Maybe I should study ahead to actually know the answers to most of the questions. We had to go in the library and make up a poem about the topic given to us. My topic was the Jesuits. I wrote about St. Ignatius and maybe Mr. Hopp wanted me to tie it in with St. Ignatius of Loyola, the church that is here in town. *Miranda* was sitting next to me and kept asking for help but she didn't really help me try to get things rhyming! In seminar I worked on my algebra and tried to help *Kari* with some psychology homework. There were some tough questions that I couldn't understand.

Thank goodness the day at school has come to an end and I can relax at home before I go to church. I also have to make time to fill out my ACT packet because the due date is Friday. I shouldn't always hold things off until the last minute!

Too Sad to Care

Today was another long day and didn't have any perks at all except that I was working with Megan in Advanced Algebra class. ^_^

This weekend wasn't that great. My dad was not happy at all because someone broke into his bar. To be rather frank, it has been broken into several times. He really should think about getting some type of security device.

My great aunt has subdermal hemotoma. She was taken to the ambulance and was in critical condition. The doctors and nurses said that she wouldn't make it and things didn't look good at all. She was transported downstate to a hospital that can better suit her needs. I use to visit her a lot during lunch. She lives alone and has a hard time getting around was lonely. I thought it was a good idea to visit her so that she wouldn't be lonely and I would have someone to talk to. Once she was taken downstate, her condition improved considerably. Now it looks like she will be able to have the surgery that will make her better. However, it will take a lot of rehabilitation and patience. My cousin lives downstate and always wanted my aunt nearby. She wants to keep my aunt down there with her. When I learned that my aunt might die and I would lose her I became upset. Now it looks like she is going to be okay and I am going to lose her anyways.

It just won't be the same having my aunt nearby to talk to whenever I need to. I'm not very forward with most people and would rather be with people I know well. That is why I would usually go down to my aunt's house for lunch. She wouldn't have to be lonely and neither would I.

Later...
My cousin called when I got home from school. It looks like they are not going to be able to keep my aunt in the hospital. Insurance only pays for someone in the hospital for a certain amount of time. They are going to move her to a rehabilitation center in the meantime until she is strong enough for her surgery. What I feared the most has happened...my dad and cousin talked on the phone about what they would do with her stuff. They will be moving everything out before April, and if she gets better, she will live downstate closer to my cousin and far away from me.

One by One

Block Scheduling. Four Classes. Seminar. imple? Not really.

An Orange Day...
I would expect my day to start out pretty well. English is my first class and my favorite class. (Well maybe not this year) My teacher, Mrs. Bade, loves to talk and sometimes she treats us like we aren't that smart. We are studying Poe right now. I love Poe. I am a fan of his work but whenever we take a quiz on his story...I seem to do really bad. I assume that I know everything about the story but then she hands out the quiz...big mistake. I wasn't sure about half of the answers I put down on the paper.

Second Block...
This is my computer class. My teacher, Mrs. Woloszyk, is old and retiring after this year is over. She is pretty crazy. She yells, screams, rides motorcycles, and has high blood pressure...not smart.

Third Block...
The class is Journalism. My sister took the class and that is why I took it. She told me how great the class was and how much she enjoyed it. She made it seem really exciting...but then I took the class. I don't really care for the group of people in it. They all have their own ideas about how to the do the yearbook and I never seem to get in any of my ideas. I end up having to sit back and listen. Mr. Hopp is an awesome teacher. The way he teaches is amazing. He makes it interesting and fun in so many ways that I don't even want to list them all out. Sadly...it doesn't seem like he really likes me...while he loved my sister.

Fourth Block...
I get back from lunch to go into Mr. Hopp's class again for world history. Sometimes Mr. Hopp is nice to me in this class and then other times he ignores me. (We have to raise our hands to get participation points) He writes up plays and then makes the class perform them. He seems to favor some certain students and always picks them. For once, today, he finally picked me to do a part. Amazing...really...

Seminar...
The journalism class had to meet in the gym to take a group picture for the yearbook. Anne was in charge of coming up with ideas and had the class vote. Everyone liked one idea but then Alison came up with her own idea. Anne was pretty mad because we had already voted and decided. We got in the gym and then Alison started ordering us to get in positions to form a pyramid. (Thank God I was on the bottom)
