For most teens the war with Iraq is their first war that they will remember. And they will remember it well if they watch the news. It seems as if every news channel shows nothing but the war in Iraq and every channel has reporters out there covering what's going on. If you really think about it, this war has become a reality show for a many Americans. People watch it and they get a close look at the people out there fighting and the effects it has. People can tune in to any news channel and see the latest developments in real time.
There are many different opinions as to whether or not the war is good or bad. My question is not about this, my question concerns the news coverage. Granted, it is good to know what's going on in the world and the more details you know the better. However, it is sad to think that millions of people are watching as people die. And of course we're seeing exactly what's going on and getting fair and balanced reporting covering all sides of the issue, right? Many people seriously doubt that.
The main question here is bias in the news. Not only does every news channel cover the war extensively, they also seem to sway towards a certain side (pro war or anti war). Of course they won't say it out loud but every news channel or news source all seems to have their own opinions.
