Wear Yellow, Live Strong

Show your support for cancer victims

Have you seen people walking around with bright yellow armbands on? They are helping the fight against cancer and showing support for those who have cancer or who are cancer survivors.

The Lance Armstrong Foundation raises money to benefit cancer research and spread the word on cancer. A few months ago, Nike and Lance Armstrong have gotten together in a campaign to raise money by selling bright yellow rubber bands that people can wear on their wrists. The bracelets are bold and have the words "Live Strong" on them, which is a message that supports people all over the world who have cancer or have survived it.

Lance Armstrong is a famous cyclist who has survived cancer. In 1996 he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and since then he has won five Tour de France titles. He started the Lance Armstrong Foundation to support others with cancer and give the message to Live Strong.

The bracelets are being sold in an effort to raise $5 million and support people ridden with cancer. At only one dollar apiece, it is a small price to pay to support people who have survived and are fighting cancer today. Live Strong is a great message for everyone to follow whether or not they have cancer.

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR BUYING THE YELLOW RUBBERBANDS.
BECAUSE YOU ARE HELPING ME OUT. SO THANK YOU

i love how the trendiness of the bracelet is helping make money
for the foundation but i hate how a lot people dont really care
about the cause and just want the bracelet because its trendy.
Hey its even better if it has turned into a TREND. There will be
even more money for those cancer patients. People can support
others AND at the same time be trendy.
Are you sure your Christian? Because you won't be sent to the
'pits of Hell' for supporting a non-Christina organization. Your
salvation isn't dependant on what you do or don't do... it's your
faith.

I'm a Christian who fully supports Livestrong and Lance Armstrong.
having known all too many people who've died or suffered from
cancer, I can't imagine how any human could not support these
people. Lance Armstrong is inspiring... Christian or otherwise.

Nice article.

i wear my live strong bracelet proudly. sad cuz a lot of people
stopped wearing theirs cuz it was a 'trend'
who cares if it's trendy? if it's trendy, more people will buy
them, and thus more money will be given to the charity. that seems
like a good thing to me.
Yes, donating to charity is good, but this has simply turned into
a TREND.
Lance Armstrong is working very hard to help everyone suffering
from cancer in this world, regardless of religious affiliations,
so to say this kind of thing is very close-minded, if you ask me.
I think what he is doing is very courageous and should be praised
and supported for it, no matter what religion or lack of religion
he chooses to affiliate himself with.
A few months ago, my hometown's newspaper had a article about
Lance Armstong. It said that he was NOT a Christian and he did
not believe that God and prayer cured him of cancer. Therefore,
because I am a Christian, I do not support the LiveStrong Project
or Lance Armstrong. My friend gave me a blue bracelet that
states, "GODStrong" on it. I believe that in this world today,
you better have Jesus because you never know when that day is
going to come. You don't want to be sent into the pits of Hell
for supporting a non-Christian would you?? I sure wouldn't!!

i have one, but its an adult so its huge on my wrist.i needed a
youth size
i have on that says people first, its for the bone marrow
foundation
Build-A-Bear stores sell them, however they are an adult size
which is usually big for teens.
i bought one a while ago and everyone always asks why i bother,
they can't see the point but i reckon that it proves that its the
small actions which have a snowball effect that make the
difference. read his autobiography too, it gived meaning to the
slogan!
besides internet
yeah were can i get this yellow bracelet in stores help!!!
I really want one of those! I also would like the silicon one for
"Make Poverty History". Can you only get them online?
were can i get a bracelet with out paying with a credit card

don't care what color they are especially if they are free but if
they are not i do not care i just want one
How did you all get your bracelets? PM me.
i really want a bracelet or two, since i'm avidly against cancer
since my Granny died of 5 kinds, but is the only way to get one
through ordering them?
I love my pink livestrong braclet. I rarely take it off. I've
wanted a pink one since i saw everyone@ my school(even most of
the teacher) wear the yellow ones. Then 4 christmas i got a pink
one in my stocking. I do anything for breast cancer since my
auntie died of it about 5 years ago. Do the have ones 4 ALS?I'd
have that one all the time for my uncle.
het alot of kids where those braclests at my school.i see the kids
where yellow, green, blue, and pink. i best friend mother has
breast cancer and it is sad but her mother keeps her hopes up. try
is get me one . it is really hard 4 people wit cancer who is tryin
to make it thru. these breaclets represent that they will be
strong, and surive with the cancer.
Livestrong conduct animal testing - which, as we know, doesn't
work very well. I hate to think of everyone wasting their money,
but there are so many great charities out there that (for those of
you, like me, have lost siblings or other family members to
cancer) - just check out www.humaneseal.org . Preferably a charity
that conducts in vitro testing; I'm a med student and I can assure
you it's the most accurate form of medical research that we can
do!
I have the yellow livestrong braclet, a pink one that says
together for breast cancer, and a light blue one that says i am
the voice of a child for babies born with crack addictions
one of my best friends has cancer and i love her so much
i just got a bracelet today, i have wanted one for a while though.
Over christmas break one of the guys that i go to school with was
diagnosed with cancer. This just added to the fact that i wanted
one, and today i got one for christmas from my aunt!! i love it
and i love the idea of the bracelets, it shows that you support
the victums of cancer.

The only ones I'll wear are this one(for my relatives), the purple
NeverSurrender one(because it benefits some organizations that I
support), and the red Red Sox Nation one(because it's a novelty, I
love Boston and the Sox, and the girl that was killed in the riots
after the Sox beat the Yankees was a friend of my brother's).
i wear them a yellow and pink theyre very popular at mys chool my
grandma has cancer all in her body except her bloodstream....and
my other grandma's had breat cancer 2 times so i no how hard it is
to go thru wit it i love them very much and i no theyll b
fine....these bracelts rock they show people fightnin cancer or
families havin to live wit it that people really care and are
hopin they make it thru......
I currently wear a live stron bracelet. But like most people at my
school/comunity. I wear it because my mom is a cancer survivor, if
my mom hadn't surivived neither my brother or I would be here. I
also have many family members that have died or have cancer
currently and have survived. Most people wear them because they
are popular. Now nike has also produced that have terms suchs as:
Respect, battlegrounds, baller, player, etc...Those are just my
thought on the bracelets. I THINK THERE AN AWESOME THING TO HAVE!
