
Working at a nationally recognized gym, I know a thing or two about fitness, Pilates being one of my favorites. Pilates is total body conditioning similar to yoga, yet much more effective. It is a series of physical and mental exercises that includes stretches and breathing that mainly focuses on the abdominal area. If you're planning on taking a Pilates session, there are a few things you will want to have and need to know.
Most importantly, you will want something comfortable to wear. You will need something that isn't very loose fitting because Pilates can put you in some crazy positions. The last thing you want is your shirt hanging over your head. Spandex, Lycra and other similar fabrics work great. Bike shorts, dance pants and sports-work out bras are the most popular apparel.
