How Healthy Are You?

Aspartame-Hidden Poison

Have you ever wondered what products are bad for your body? What is healthy for you and what isn't healthy? Unhealthy products are in your everyday life. You may not realize it but it could be right in front of you. It could be that soda pop your drinking. It could be that lotion your wearing right now. It could be anything around you.

There are many unhealthy prodcuts right under your nose. It is important to understand what it is you are consuming. Check out labels. Read the ingredients. If you aren't sure what something is (which let's face it-can be 99% of the time), and have some free time, look it up! A rule of thumb to follow can be-the more ingredients, the higher chance that it isn't as good for you as you might like. Take a minute and check out what's in that bag of chips you are eating. I bet the ingredients list is pretty long considering it is supposed to just be fried potatoes. Think it's healthy just because it is reduced fat, or baked and not fried? You may be surprised.

i hate aspertame it makes everything taste like crap. I'd rather
have just regular sugar than that nasty cememical sugar sub. great
article!
I never understood those people who order a double-stacked loaded
whopper with cheese, then get a diet coke to go along with it.
It's just so backwards.
I don't like diet cola of any kind. The aspartame is just not
worth it, none the less that it doesn't do anything to benefit me.
ewwwww diet soda tastes like arse
Diet coke is all the soda i drink :(
It makes me wonder why people think diet soda is better. My aunt
is bent on having only diet soda because she thinks it's better. I
bet she'd get a kick out of reading this article. I guess I'm
grateful my mom could never convince me to drink much diet soda.
Then again, most of the time I reach for water. And gum, I don't
have too much, most of the time only when my friend from school
gives me watermelon flavored gum. Even that in itself is rare.
Never expected such things from a diet drink and sugarless gum.
Wow.
dudes this is shocking i love diet coke i almost live off of it
when i can
no wonder im so dumb and sound like a stoner this is sad
but what's really sad is that im still going to drink it
Great article. I know so many people who drink diet carbonated
beverages because they think that they are a healthier choice. So
wrong! Neither diet nor regular are very good for you, but
aspartame is NOT safe.

cutie pie, I've read the same about aspartame. Do a Google search
and I'm sure you'll come up with some interesting information.
Dorito's has MSG. It makes my mom really sick if she has too much
of it. She has difficulty breathing and gets really sleepy. I
don't drink diet soda too much anymore. I used to, but all that
aspartame, I don't know. My dentist told me it's good because it's
good for your teeth? I don't think it really had a significance on
weight either. You're probably better off drinking a regular
sodain moderation, or just a juice or water. The only reason I
ponder a diet soda is because of the caramel. But, then I'll just
have a clear soda instead.

And the gum makes me sick - it has Sorbitol in it, and I have a
very sensitive stomach, so I stay away from it all basically.
I agree about food ingredients these days -- it's nuts!

And actually, "splenda" is a substance called "sucralose" that is
also toxic. Not as bad as aspartame (which even has a disease --
aspartame disease -- named after it), but sucralose metabolises
into poisons when it gets into your stomach. I've done a lot of
research into the two, and avoid them both like the plague.

Generally, I assume that if a corporation is promoting something,
it's probably something bad for you.
Interesting, I took a nutrition class this semester and I don't
recall hearing anything about it causing brain problems, or
killing brain cells. I would like to read the sources, if that's
ok?
If I'm going to drink pop, I always drink the regular stuff. Just
because it's diet doesn't mean it's any better for you to drink,
in fact it's not. That aspartame stuff is evil, plus it tastes
gross. They are starting to come out with pop sweetened with
Splenda, which is probably better, if you can stand the taste.
Everyone tells me "it tastes just like sugar" but...no it
doesn't!! I personally can't stand it in a drink, in some things I
don't mind, but not in my drinks.
