Jesse McCartney's got us right where he wants us: Craving for more of him. The still-humble artist who blends many genres of music is back with a hip new band and a highly anticipated sophomore album. He has progressed as an artist and in his latest album; McCartney converts his diary into a compact disk. This new CD is a few levels up from Beautiful Soul. Taking the reins and producing some more remarkable songs with depth, proved to be beneficial to McCartney's career; he is getting rave reviews from disk jockeys that once dismissed him. People are already comparing this cherub face artist to greats like Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson. McCartney have proven that he's no one hit wonder, as Right Where You Want Me has already gone gold in some countries. Usually, it takes artists time to develop spread their wings from their debut album all the way to their third or fourth album, but McCartney has managed to achieve just that with only his second album. I was very lucky to have grabbed one of the last remaining copies of McCartney's album on a stripped shelf beneath the huge Jesse McCartney display. I was very impressed when I first heard Right Where You Want Me in its entirety. These new songs will entice a new, older demographic, not to say the songs don't stay clean and true to this charming entertainer--his younger fans will not be alienated by the lyrics.
