21 year old Leona Lewis is making quite a name for herself on the UK talent competition The X Factor and her incredible voice is causing her to raise some eyebrows in the US as well. Here in the States, the public took notice of Lewis after her jaw-dropping rendition of Gershwin's Summertime.
"The First Cut is the Deepest", "Chiquitita", and Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" have all been covered by the singer to rave reviews by the judges, including Sharon Osborne and Simon Cowell (American Idol). Cowell in particular even dubbed Lewis as "world class" and many fans who have posted comments in different blogs on the internet have proclaimed Lewis in the same league as her idols Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.
