Hannibal Rising
Release Date: Friday, February 9
Director: Peter Webber
Rating: R

For those of you obsessed with the first 78 Hannibal Lector films, the long-anticipated prequel has finally arrived. Gaspard Ulliel plays a younger and more disturbingly attractive version of Anthony Hopkins' infamous character. With the turbulent and desolate backdrop of Eastern Europe at the end of World War II, Hannibal Rising follows the path of Hannibal Lector as he evolves into the cannibalistic serial killer that we all know and love.

For the first time in the entire trilogy, the screen play for the new film has been written by Thomas Harris, the original author of both Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs. The story of Hannibal's doomed and miserable youth should be much more relatable for young newcomers and a satisfying explanation for serious fans of the classic horror flicks.

I want to see "Music and Lyrics." I also want to see "Because I
Said So."
OMG! Hannibal Rising was AWESOME!! I highly recommend watching it
if you watched and liked the other 3 "Hannibal" movies. Wow, the
actor Gaspard Ulliel was AMAZING!! He had the looks down to a T.
Yeah, deffinately go watch it if you're not afraid of a little
blood & gore!!
I enjoyed watching Silence of the Lambs but I don't think I'll see
Hannibal Rising. It looks really interesting but I think they made
it very gruesome and violent, probably just because that's what
people seem to be into today. Whereas (correct me if I'm wrong) I
don't remember Silence of the Lambs being violent or gruesome, it
worked on suspense which was what made it so great.

I would like to see Bridge to Terabitha and also Number 23 looks
good, as well as Music and Lyrics looks like a really cute
romantic comedy (I'm a sucker for romantic comedies lol).
There were quite a few new movies coming out that look amazing
that were completely missed!! Oh, and I am waaay tired of Hannibal
movies...come up with something different people!!!!!
I did find a teaser trailer on YouTube that might hold you over
for POTC.

I saw a preview for the movie The Number 23 and holy cow!! Did
that look good!! Jim Carrey ... man .. he just surprises you with
all this serious stuff. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was
a good serious one so hopefully this one will do well too. I think
he's proving he's just a great actor, all the way around the
spectrum.

^^ And I'm still waiting for POTC 3 too. I've heard on the web
that the trailer will be showing before the movie Ghost Rider,
which I'm going to go see when it comes out so if you're anxious
to see the trailer for POTC, you should check it out. Of course,
after Ghost Rider comes out, you'll probably be able to check out
the preview for it on YouTube anyways.

I think I'll definitely go see Hannibal Rising and Number 23.

I'll see Bridge to Terabithia.
