With the turbulent and desolate backdrop of Eastern Europe at the end of World War II, Hannibal Rising follows the path of Hannibal Lector as he evolves into the cannibalistic serial killer that we all know and love.
For the first time in the entire trilogy, the screen play for the new film has been written by Thomas Harris, the original author of both Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs. The story of Hannibal's doomed and miserable youth should be much more relatable for young newcomers and a satisfying explanation for serious fans of the classic horror flicks.
