Politics as usual with this Missouri-based quartet.
This New York-based quartet is prepared to rock in '09.
The hard rock quintet gets sinister on "Cinco Diablo."
Sticking to what they do best on their fifth album.

The Fallen Idol's Rock Redemption

Chris Daughtry's band Daughtry's new album Daughtry debuted with impressive sales. Despite the slightly masturbatory tendencies of American Idol's self-proclaimed rocker, the CD is surprisingly listenable. If you like Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd or Fuel, chances are you should give Daughtry a fair try. Their songs are undoubtedly catchy and radio-worthy without trying to too hard to be something that they're not.

You have to give this Idol credit for sticking to his roots. From the very beginning of his tightly televised career, Chris Daughtry has worked hard to establish his loyalty to rock- even if he uses the term loosely.

American Idol anymore because he lost hahaha. I LOVE the Daughtry
cd <3
I didn't like the negative tone of this article... but I LOVE the
album. It's been in my car CD player since Christmas and it's
getting better and better each time I play it. It's great, I
highly recommend it.
I <3 Chris Daughtry! He was my fav on American Idol!
I like his cd and love his voice.
Chris Daughtry was my second favorite on Idol (next to Elliott) so
I was easily drawn to his band's CD. I agree that it's nothing
that stands out from every other band but it's still good. I like
his voice. This album is worth checking out.
Creedence Clearwater Revival.....

TWO e's.

I like it :-) It's in my car ready to go :-)
Although I do find most of Daughtry's songs to be a bit typical,
it's his first album and he's a debuting artist. It's better for
him especially, coming off Idol and all, to be a little safe and
marketable with his album.

He's doing very well though. "It's Not Over" continues to be at
the top of the charts, he's been consistent in the top 10 with
album sales on iTunes, and to my knowledge, his concert in Atlanta
here sold out in a little under 2 minutes.

Aside from Katharine McPhee & Elliott Yamin, Chris Daughtry (or
Daughtry now) were my favorites. It's a great album. :)
