Wii Play

Cheap Thrills (genre: Wii)

Wii Play
Nintendo (Wii)

For most people, purchasing Wii Play is not just a no-brainer, but a necessity. It comes packaged with an extra Wii controller, employs the use of the Mii characters you create on the Wii's internal memory and is designed for simple, multiplayer entertainment--all for the price of $10 more than purchasing an extra control by itself. Like I said, necessity.

With that said, Wii Play is a no-frills, simple-as-pie take of various sports a la Wii Sports. But instead of playing renditions of Tennis, Bowling, Baseball, Golf and Boxing Wii Play has renditions of sports with less overall intensity--Table Tennis, Fishing, Air Hockey (dubbed "Laser Hockey" in the game) and so on. Rounding out the package are quirky, off-center games that are less physical and more cerebral, like the silhouette-matching "Pose Mii" and the Where's Waldo?-influenced "Find Mii."

I'd like to get it just for the extra controller. I really like
Wii Sports and Wario and other games that are simple and fast
because I pretty much only play with groups of other people. It's
definitely worth buying since it's impossible to find another
remotre anywhere.
I was disappointed. I think it's awesome that it comes with a
remote, so yeah, paying only a few bucks for the game made me
happy.

The fishing was impossible, unless I stand practically an inch
from my TV it doesn't work properly for me.

I also had a hard time with pool. It doesn't always recognize my
shot and gives me a whimpy shot which makes me foul instead.

My husband and I love the shotting, table tennis and air hockey.
