Since it's creation in 1993, it has raised more than $40 million for cancer research, counseling and outreach programs. Nearly 90,000 individuals are expected to participate this year. Registration for this event is $25, which includes a t-shirt and a Revlon gift bag.

Started in 1970, Walk America raises money to support research and programs regarding premature birth. About 7 million people participate in the walk annually, and have raised more than $1.7 billion to date. There is no cost to participate in this walk, but those attending are encouraged to fundraise and solicit donations from friends and family.
