Sammy Sosa Returns to MLB

It seems like it was only yesterday that Sammy Sosa was in the Home Run race against Mark McGuire. He was a Chicago Cub, and no matter where you lived, you too were a Cubbie with him.

Sammy is a name many will remember as being one of "the greats." His career started in 1989 with the Rangers where he had three 60-homer seasons; and in his MVP year (1998) with the Cubs, Sosa hit a .308, 66 home runs, and 158 RBIs.

Now, you guessed it: Sosa is making a comeback with the Texas Rangers. He is a little older, and perhaps not in as great of shape as he was in his prime-but he is well aware of what he is up against and ready to work. Sosa also has prepared himself for many of the questions he will face when asked about his alleged steroid use.

"I know who I am. I have been good to this game, I will continue to be great to this game, and I will continue to perform. Let's talk about baseball. Let's talk about 2007, and the talent we have in Texas, and what we can do this year."

Sosa Sucks...he better had left the cork at home this time

go cards...
I am so excited about baseball starting. Not a particular fan of
Sammy. The run with Mark McGuire was really fun though! I
remember it very well. Too bad he didn't return to the Cubbies.
