A great way to get exercise and also help others is by participating in a charity run or walk. Depending on where you live, there are a variety of options available. Most of the time the major walks like those sponsored by March of Dimes are in big cities like New York and Chicago. Some of the more popular walks are those for breast cancer, diabetes, asthma, aids, heart conditions, and premature babies. I have done a little bit on research of four of them that caught my interest.
My first choice is the Avon breast cancer run/walk. I would one day like to participate in this since my aunt is a breast cancer survivor. The website, www.avonwalk.org provides all the information that one needs and you can request more information before signing up for a walk. There are also links to register, how to raise money, and training help. Some of the upcoming walks are in Boston, Washington D.C., Denver, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, and Charlotte.

Thats how its spelled?) My grandma's company forms a team and
walks the 6 miles around the city. It is so important to me
because my grandmother has MS.
