Sunglasses

Shades of Spring

The only thing more important than protecting your precious eyes from the harmful effects of UV rays, is not having tacky sunglasses. As usual, I use the word tacky loosely. I am a huge advocate of ridiculous sunglasses. I highly recommend making sunglasses the biggest and most noticable part of your outfit. It makes people think you have something to hide, like blinding beauty, fame, or money (possibly a black eye?) Anyway, walking the line between trashy and flashy can be difficult which is why I've selected some fun summer shades that gracefully combine class and sass.

big sunglasses make people look like bugs.
These sun glasses are hideous. They look like something that your
grandmother might have worn 50 years ago. Not anything good!
i hate the fashion at the moment! i don't get why people don't
think that they look stupid! They look like youve got bug
eyes...why would you want people to think you've turned into a
bug?!!! id understand if you were trying to hide a giant spot on
your face or something!!

i can't believe we have these glasses again this year...cos they
were 'like sooo last year' too...sorry couldn't resist!
Oversized sunglasses never look good on me. I have a small head,
round face, and short hair. Oh, the agony...
i liked this article. and i love big sunglasses. I have many of
them. I am currently looking for the Breakfast at Tiffany's
sunglasses.
i hate how the trend is to wear big sunglasses. my head is small
and i look stupid in them.
lol the heart-shaped ones are cute... but I wouldn't wear them:(
Or wouldn't I... something to think about for me. And the author
of the article was bringing WHATS IN STYLE NOW!! This isn't a :You
have this shape of face wear this article! STOP COMPLAINING! :P
I'm only one person so f you disagree with my opinion on fashion
I'd love for you to WRITE AN ARTICLE.!!! just kiwinote me.

thanks :)
ok so the heart shaped ones = super tacky (how old are we!?!?),
aviators only look good on a very select few ppl who have the
perfectly shaped face for them, and I have never been a fan of
those leopard-ish patterned ones...i just dont dig em...The
oversized lens ones look AMAZING...if you have longer hair to
frame your face too...so they are out of you have short hair or
wanna wear your hair up...cuz you will look funny.

that's my 2 cents worth...
ok seriosly some people cannot pull off the huge sunglasses that
make me look like a freaking bug! Can we please get a little
variety in these articles?
i feel like ppl with certain face shapes can pull off
aviators...like i usually steer clear of those because they make
me look like a bug or something haha.

and yeah i agree with hip_chic, the heart ones are just hella
tacky and 1st-grade-girl-dress-up-ish.
boo i didn't like any of these sunglasses
sometimes i can't stand the articles on this website. they can
just be way TOO opinionated.
I dont do trendy, so the ones from Forever 21, which have been in
style for a while now are the pair I pretty much have, only I got
them elsewhere. I can't bother to keep up with trends - I know
what I like so that's all that matters.
The nicole richie ones are really cute
the others.. not so much, especially the heart shaped ones....
tackyyyyyy
I have a pair of Fossil sunglasses, and they're the only ones I've
ever liked on me. Personally, I think all of these you've shared
are hideous.
i love all of these! The pair from Forever 21 look great on small
faces like mine (which is so difficult to find sometimes), so
they're a great find. Thanks Carolyn!
They all were ugly (even the Dior, sorry) except the over sized
frames...what can I say...they're cute. The aviator ones are
just...no, and the turtle shell? no. just no.
Uhm. I actually have a pair of Dior sunglasses with the D and
they're really nice and I love them.

I also have a pair of Kate Spades that have some "gemstones" on
them.

Also lovely.

I think the only decent sunglasses I saw in this article is the
pair you claim should be banned.

I think its a matter of opinion. I just hate the huge fake shades
covered in rhinestones, some real designers are cute. I've been to
LA too it doesn't seem that different from NY.

also:But sometimes its hard to afford them... I break sunglasses
all the time. I had these amazing vintage christian dior...broke.
my apartment is a sunglasses graveyard.

I love oversized sunglasses.
Well, here in LA all I ever the fashon forward wearing are black
medium-sized Chanel sunglasses with mother of pearl Cs on the side
(I wouldn't mind trying them on) and Dior sunglasses with a brass
D connecting the stems to the lenses - those I don't like as
much.

I have 3 pairs of Chanels, and they are the best glasses I have
ever owned. So what if they're brand name? I'm damn proud of them!
I love those aviator sunglasses. And
over-the-top-ridiculous-sunglasses can be great too though.
