In this newest installment on Kiwibox we will be focusing on the hottest singles on Billboard and radio, week to week.

This week, Kiwibox will be commenting on the return of everybody's favorite Canadian punk, Avril Lavigne, as well as chart-toppers like MIMS, Akon and Fall Out Boy.

Avril Lavigne - "Girlfriend"

Say what you want about Avril, but she must be doing something right. Somebody is buying her records. (You did, didn't you?)

After her bubble-gum punk-pop burst (and opened up a tidal-wave of like-minded artists) Avril went MIA, got married and settled down. But as they say, you can't take the punk out of a punkette. "Girlfriend" sounds exactly where she left off, pogo-punk chorus, boy-bashing and whatnot. Sure, Mrs. Sum 41 won't be breaking any new ground with "Girlfriend," but admit it: You missed her, and this is a triumphant return.

And if you don't like it? Whateverrrrrrrr...

I like Avril's new song, for some reason reminds me of a song
you'd expect to hear on the "Drive Me Crazy" soundtrack. As much
as I like it though, I find it's a step backwards for her....

It's quite popular knowledge over here that Fall Out Boy's This
Ain't A Scene.. has alternative lyrics. Listen to it, it DOES
sound like this is what they are saying:-

I love FOB's Infinity on High. Tehy've got some songs there that
aren't just to appeal to the masses. It seems like their trying to
get more in touch with the roots they laid in Evening Out With
Your Girlfriend... No matter waht they are awesome... I did miss
avril..not gonna lie. and The new Akon song is jsust about the
only song I can tolerate on my sister's radio station without
spontaneously Combusting

I love Avril Lavigne. And her new song is really catchy, but it's
so different from her other songs from previous albums.

I'm not really feelin' that new video she has out either. Meh.

That new Fall Out Boy song is pretty catchy, I like it. I like the
video also; kind of entertaining.
