Desserts are delicious, but after making a big meal, you normally aren't going to want to make one. Or if you're busy counting calories, usually by the time dessert rolls around, you're out of calories for the day. Here are a few easy, and not so 'every day' desserts for ya! Sometimes putting a new twist on an old favorite is just the trick!
These are more 'individual desserts' because I've noticed if I make desserts that 'serve 8', the two of us end up eating 8 servings worth! You can adjust the ingredients to better suit what you need.

Twisted Banana Split
The picture looks tempting, doesn't it? Too bad it's full of calories and sugar! This isn't your average banana split with all those horrid calories and sugar. This is a refreshing, healthy twist. You can use any various alternatives; I pick these because I like the combination of the tastes.
Ingredients
1 banana
1 'scoop' of fresh cantaloupe
1 'scoop' of seedless watermelon (you can use regular but then you have to pick the seeds out)
1/2 cup of fresh sliced strawberries (blueberries, raspberries or even cherries would work)
1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup of granola
Directions
Peel and then slice your banana in half, length-wise. Place it in a dish.
Grab an ice-cream scoop (or two large spoons) to put together a 'scoop' of the cantaloupe and watermelon. Place them as though you would be placing a scoop of ice-cream in between the two slices of banana. Finally, toss in your strawberries (or the alternative that you picked).
Stir the yogurt and granola together. Make sure it's mixed well and drizzle it over top.
Grab a spoon and enjoy! It's great if you want to keep it for yourself, or share it. Either way, I'm sure it's not exactly what you were expecting, but give it a shot; it might hit that sweet tooth craving!
