Everyday Exercise

Hectic Life But You Still Need Exercise

Everyday Exercise

According to doctors, a person is supposed to get thirty minutes of exercise every day in order to live a healthy life. Not everyone is able to do this because of their hectic schedules surrounding work, school and family. Luckily, there are many exercises that can be done in your every day comings and goings. The following are few that I have found most helpful.

Whenever possible you should walk.
For example, while running your errands park further away from the store. When you get a break at work instead of calling or emailing a co-worker, walk to their desk to speak to them. When you are at a store that has an escalator-instead of just riding up it, walk up to work your leg muscles. Having a pet is a great opportunity to get out and walk. Don't just walk to the corner and turn back. Enjoy your time outside and take your poor pet on a decent walk. It will be good for both of you!

Did you know that for every thirty minutes you walk you can burn two to three hundred calories depending on your body size? Thirty minutes is not that long; instead of sitting in front of the couch and watching your favorite television show, tape the show and go spend thirty minutes walking and getting some fresh air.

Another great exercise tip is to take the stairs instead of escalator or elevator every chance you get. Steps are a great cardiovascular workout and also great for your leg muscles. Leave a little earlier every morning so you can take the steps and still get to work or school on time.

A great website to check out is ToneTeen.com. It's GREAT!

Interesting article. I'm hoping to go to the beach this summer and
losing some weight would be great. I have already started to walk
around a mile to a mile and a half every day and also cutting back
on what I eat, and I will definately keep these ideas in mind!
I think...it was a fairly good article. I do exercise....by just
walking forever with my friends....and by running really
fast...(trust me, never challenge me to a race)....when ever I
want. Whenever I eat food.. I make sure its an equal of junk and
mostly health. lol- hehehohohaha
I live on campus and I don't have a car. That's another way to get
walking!
If you have little kids or know little kids that you babysit do
what they do. Kids are so active. If they are playing on the
jungle gym or running around the house do it too. You will bond
with those children and also get a good work out at the same time.
You mostly never see a chubby 3 yr old or an overweight 5 yr old.
Have fun!
I really should take the stairs from where I live on the 6th floor
down to the 1st floor every day instead of taking the elevator. =/
i used to walk home every day from school (which is over 30 blocks
away) and enjoyed it. i didnt see it as much of exercise, but i
did lose weight. now that its winter and im not walking, i gained
it all back. maybe ill make up for those lost steps with these
tricks!

(PS - try to get 10,000 steps a day!)
I liked this article. Helped me know that a few things I am
forced to do are good for me lol. I work 12 hr days m,w,f and go
to school for 6hrs on t,th and then to work for 8 hrs. While at
school and work I am able to walk ALOT, especially at work when I
get to play sports with the kids.
Neat. I walk 3 miles every weekday, and work out about 5 hours a
week. Soon I'll be able to outrun a pack of wolves!
Good article :) In nutrition I learned that things like step
climbing actually helps your bones too. Women, if you want to
prevent osteoporosis, climb those stairs. Who woulda thought eh
Definitely gotta have the will and motivation to keep at it even
when you don't feel like it. My fiance is my motivation, he's what
keeps me going. It's definitely worth it in the end though; the
rewards, even temporary ones, make it all worth it.
doing those little things can really help out the body, but to me
i believe it takes self-disipline to actually have a healthy life
and that is something i lack .. haha
