With the evolution of man, many a burden has come. From the barbaric to the strategic, man--and when I say "man" I mean humans, as in "mankind"--has had countless attempts to prove themselves the ultimate being versus...themselves. It's a cycle that continues to this day. Some train their entire lives to engage great battles and reign victorious for the sake of their country; others play video games and get a similar sense of accomplishment. We all do our part.
300 does little to reassure modern men that brawn far outweighs brains, be it through fighting or screenwriting. At its core the film teaches us that intensity is more important than the actual results of said intensity. When everything is intense nothing is intense. All peaks and no valleys. But only those who go to the movies for historical accuracy will be fully disappointed.
