A Sweet Escape from Prom

Now is the time of your life

With prom right around the corner, the jittery hype and excitement amongst your classmates and friends is undeniable. Chitchat can be heard around the hallways of your school each passing day about which dress to buy, what tux to rent, which limousine to take, and who is going with whom. The rumors bounce off the walls like little rubber balls. Only problem: all you can think about is how much you don't want to take part in any of this drama. Instead of sitting at home on prom night thinking about what everyone else is doing you can have a sweet escape; an escape to have the time of your life.
There are various activities you can do with your friends on this night without having to dwell in self-pity. In reality, you might even have more fun than the people who are attending prom. All it takes is a little imagination and a friend or two to make this night an unforgettable one.

I went to prom both my junior and senior year. I was the least bit
popular in my school and I still had the time of my life my senior
year. I do not regret going and it was TONS of fun. as long as
you're with the right people!
Me and my friend didn't go to prom so we spent the day in the mall
ironically trying on prom dresses instead. It was fun.
i went to my 8th grade prom but i dun think i'm goin to my senior
prom =[
i kinda sorta wanna go but whatever.
my school's kinda boring && stupid aniway
honestly, i reccommend that seniors should go to prom. I had a
blast.... and I am not a prep or anything (stupid labels)

I didnt go to many dances until junior year (and only started
going b/c my friend brittany decided she loved to use me as a
barbie and that i "had to go"), and I found that going with
friends was actually fun. by junior prom I had a boyfriend (who I
am still with) and we went to prom (at our school juniors and
seniors go to the same prom) and we had a blast even tho niether
of us expect to go to prom as juniors. I only spent $45 on my
junior dress (it was nice, but not extremely formal), but i did
spend about $100 on my senior dress
just because i actually adored the long dress (surprisingly)

It was a really fun night both times, I had a load of fun with my
friends (lol, we went to Denny's after senior prom), and i really
reccommend people going and trying to enjoy it because it will
surprise you
I didn't participate in ANYTHING in high school, but I did go to
prom. It was fun. I'm glad I went. I didn't bring a disgusting
horn dog date to ruin my time like two of my friends did. I went
with a group of friends. Two or three of them had dates and the
rest of us danced with each other. It was a lot of fun. I only
paid $55 for my prom dress and we rented a limo (only $10 a
person). The limo sucked. I would have rather showed up in a
U-Haul truck. That would've been pretty sweet. People that
complain that prom is for "preps" are just as bad as those who
whine that they don't have a date. GET OVER IT. If you're too
stupid to just go and have a good time, then you really don't
deserve to be there anyways.
Prom short for Promenade is meant as a last social gathering
before graduation or in some cases after graduation.

Prom is also not about the money you spend. Not about the dress,
the limo, the pictures, or even the guy.

Its not meant JUST for what you call preps or jocks or what ever
you wanna call them, its meant for everyone in a celebration.

Those who end up hating the idea of prom are generally what you
call the slackers in the school. People who end up hating life,
hating themselves, and hating every little thing around them.

They are also the ones who generally do not participate in any
school functions rather it be a simple teacher conference night or
basketball game.

Also they are most likely to never show up for a class reunion
because they dont have any friends, dont have anyone they know or
like, because they never attended anything at school like prom.

I am not saying everyone showed go to prom, but if you have never
done anything in high school for the past four years, at least go
to the one last thing before you set off to college or whatever it
is you are going to do with your life.

I do think prom for juniors is idiotic. It should just be a spring
dance. No need to have two proms.

This is where this article should fit in. A sweet alternative to
junior prom.

But did I ever go to my high school prom, yes. Was I the most
popular, no. Did I enjoy myself, absolutely. Did I regret it, no.
Should everyone try to at least go to prom, absolutely.

well, personaly I did not care a bit bout prom. I found that it
was manly for the preps and wannabes. And all the kool people like
I hung out with stayed home and hung out together haveing their
own party instead of wasting so much money going to the stupid
prom which is not hardly anything important. But i know that to
the preps this is the biggest night of your life so have a ball.
