New Exercises for Spring

Spring has finally arrived, and with it, the urge to get back in shape after our long winter's nap. Over the years there have been numerous ways of getting in shape. Some were effective, some were not, and some have been so overused it's no wonder that nobody likes to do them. Jumping jacks, sit ups, push ups-it's enough to drive a person crazy. This spring, take a break from the monotony of traditional exercises and get in shape outside the box! Here are some new ways to get in shape this season.

Cardio

Walking, running, biking - my guess is that you've either already tried them or ruled them out because they just don't appeal to you. But a cardio workout is, obviously, good for your heart and also helpful in burning fat and calories.

If the idea of running makes you sweat more than the running itself, there are some other things you can do to get a good workout. Dancing, for one, is sweeping the nation thanks to various dancing shows on television these days. Did you ever notice that the dancers on those shows are in incredibly good shape? You could sign up for a ballroom dancing class, or, if that's not your thing, just pop in a CD and dance around your room. It's simple, but effective.
