Virtua Fighter 5

A Flawless Fighter (genre: PS3 Fighting)

Sega Studios (PS3)

Remember the first time you played Street Fighter 2 on your SNES? Remember when you were convinced that your 16-bit console was like having an arcade in your home? Remember how foolish that all sounded when Sega Dreamcast came out with Soul Calibur? Now, the Greek tragedy that is called "Arcade Gaming" has been dealt the final nail in the coffin, the final blow to its muscular ego: Virtua Fighter 5.

If you're a fan of fighting games there is no reason to ever go back to the arcades, outside of finding some stranger to compete with (contrary to popular belief, it's still not safe to invite total strangers over your house). Virtua Fighter 5 embarrasses every fighting franchise out today. And if Tekken 6 doesn't shape up, it's gotta ship out and fight another day.

"Bucking the trend of worthless extras, Virtua Fighter 5 is all
about fighting--no volleyball, no half-assed minigames."

I am delighted by this sentence. And this article.
That's not really my kind of game. I am not into those kind of
games.
