Simplify Your Beauty Routine

If your hair has taken a beating lately from at-home-dyes, cheap hair products, and excessive heat damage its not too late to help.

First step? Calm down.

I used to put more products in my hair then I feel comfortable admitting in a public forum. Now, I realized they the reason I needed all that crap was because I was using all that crap in the first place. It's a vicious cycle. Advertisers cause ten target problems in order to sell, sell, sell. The shocking truth of the matter is you probably shouldn't be using anything bought at the drug store. Most products contain paraffin wax that will make your hair look shiny after use, but over time it builds up and adds gunky, gooey weight to your locks.

The second step in hair rehab is throw away everything. I'm not joking. All you need is a high quality salon shampoo such as Biolage or Redken (ask your hairstylist for tips) and maybe one natural and light leave in treatment. My friend and stylist Yanny Cocalas from the Arrojo salon in Soho recommends the new Arrojo brand of products designed by the amazing Nick Arrojo from What Not To Wear.

yea...
its okay
but yall should try using olive oil products it realli helps!!!
you know.. iwas all nods until i got the -her- advertising spot.
the truth is.. all you need is any normal shampoo and
conditioner.. and then stop everything else. -- Including that
hair straightening iron.. seriously.

--- ooh! and EEStacey.. you just need a hair cut.. nothing out
there will mend split ends back together.
what can i do for split ends? BAD split ends...
would the black tea/coffee damage my hair the way dye does?
Truthfully... I wouldn't like the smell of having beer in my hair
or any of that stuff.

2 days ago I bought this shampoo and conditioner for my hair and
my hair is really freaking soft and shiny after only using it 3
times. It's suave Radiant Bruinett and I only paid 3 something for
it plus my hair doesn't smell like I just fell into some garabage
can. So I'm pretty happy with it.
Oh the mayonnaise one with bananas sounds hella like it works imma
try that 1 2
this is all bad imma hella try it;...IT BETTER WORK!!
I think i may trie one of those sounds cool

I have always done the vinegar one, but I needed some new ideas.
My hair is over 4ft long and a bottle of shampoo or conditioner
only last a week or so for me so it gets pretty expensive!
I actually already use a lot of these home remedies...they work
really well...

another one that's really great to add to the collection is this:

mash up two bananas and add a tablespoon of mayonnaise (mayonnaise
NOT Miracle whip) and mix it all up. Then coat all of your hair
thoroughly and leave in for about 30 minutes. Best conditioning
I've ever done to my hair and the results lasted about 2 weeks!!!

Good luck everyone!!
i think i will stick to my 89 cent Suave shampoo thanks :o)
