Bringing Back Old School

When I was five years old, I was the average kid who played tag on the playground, rollerblading, and of course pretending to be one of the four greatest heroes back in the early 1990's.

I'm talking of course about Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were undeniably one of the most popular cartoons, toys, comics, and even stickers when the original television cartoon debuted in 1987. When the series hit its highest point of popularity in 1990, the release of the first live action movie came. Its popularity proved to continue as the sequel, The Secret of the Ooze came to theaters with even bigger numbers than the original. The commotion seemed to die down however by the time the third live action movie came, and the hopes of more turtle movies went down the sewer with it as the cartoon came to an end in 1996.

When a new cartoon of these four brothers came back on television in 2003, their popularity not only came back amongst the younger crowd, but also sent a surge of interest back to those who were now in the end of their high school days or early college who grew up loving this cartoon. When news also came that a new movie would be coming out, internet fans went nuts, anticipating the release date.
