Blades of Glory

Comedy on Ice

I could very quickly review Blades of Glory for you by simply stating that it's Will Ferrell's new movie. He stars in it, he says silly things, and his shirt comes off. Nothing too unexpected.

What is unexpected? The triumphant reemergence of Jon Heder as Jimmy MacElroy, the innocent, talented, boy-ish counterpart to Chazz Michael Michaels, the sex-addicted, showboating figure skater.

Both Chazz and Jimmy are sworn enemies in the skating world but when both receive winning scores in International competition, they break out into a public brawl on the podium during the awards ceremony thereby setting off a chain of events that get them booted from figure skating forever.

i watched it the other day. not bad. just interesting as a comedy
ice-skating movie. weird, how they just put north korea into the
subject. also umm interesting ending too.
I went and saw this movie yesterday, it wasn't as funny as I had
hoped. I've been trying to hold out hope for Will Ferrell, but his
movies keep getting worse and worse. Even when he tried to play a
serious role (i.e. "Stranger Than Fiction") it was still terrible.
Plus the movie melted on the screen about 20 minutes from the end.
I guess the projector over-heated. So therefore I didn't even get
to see the end of this movie. I guess it was for the best, because
it really did suck. Atleast I got 2 free movie passes out of it.
TeeeEEEEEErrrrrRRRrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
will ferrell has some of the best facial expressions of all time
:)
One day, I'm gonna teach you kids about grammar.

On that note: I have no desire to see this movie.

I wasn't too keen on Anchorman and I didn't bother to see
Talladega Nights.

Chances are at some party I'll end up watching it, or at least
parts of it. So, we'll see how it goes.

oh andy, i'm sorry i've stomped on your deams. please try to look
between the lines of my review and see it as i did. <3
Your lukewarm review has bursted the bubble I have been harboring
since the posters went up in the subway, 'emagner.' See what good
the truth brings??? NONE. NONE AT ALL. But I would do anything
to see Will Arnett and Amy Poehler play a brother/sister duo
whose relationship "borders on incestuous," as Amy put it in a
recent Nylon interview. LOLERSKATES! (LITERALLY)
