Fur

Fashion Disaster

For years, big fashion clothing lines have used fur to add a little jazz to their clothes. It may look glamorous to some, but what happens behind the scenes to produce such coats for clothing isn't so nice.

Animals endure obscene amounts of pain, so that designers can make some cash. Commonly, the animal's fur is pulled off of them when they're still alive. After they are skinned, they are just thrown in a pile with the other victims of this cruel act-sometimes still alive. Although before the skinning takes place, the animals are literally pulled from their cages and slammed repeatedly on the ground. This results in broken bones- but not all of them die. They usually die at least 10 minutes after the skinning takes place. It sounds gruesome, but it's true.

PETA, (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), has been fighting against this and other topics having to do with animal cruelty. You can help them fight by going to Peta 2 if you sign up you can get free stickers and leaflets to help spread the word about what must be done. You can also win cool prizes while helping save animals.

So fur is defiantly a fashion don't, for the animals sake- and for yours. You don't want to be seen as a person who wears dead skin. It's not attractive. Do you really want to waste your money by directly supporting the people who murder and abuse animals without just cause?

im not syaing that this is not true, but like the whole boiling
cickens alive in oil thing. that just stupid.
there needs to be a better and more credible animal rights
orgniaztion then peta. some of their stuff is mixed with
fabrication, wich discredits them. The truth is bad enough, why do
they have to make the truth seem like lies?
The truth is sad, and it's not very pleasant either... I do think
that the writing wasn't very good, but I think this article had a
good intention behind it. However, I don't think that PETA is a
very strong organization, and people are just going to walk all
over them. They've been around for years- and for what? Nothing.
People haven't stopped skinning animals in cruel ways, and they
won't want to stop if people just say things like "Don't do that!"
because they obviously wouldn't listen to that. It would run them
out of business! And who's richer, PETA or other fur companies?
Honey, a "minx" is a flirty woman, NOT an animal. Get a
dictionary. And a clue. This isn't "Silence of the Lambs".
We're not talking about skinning humans.
Okay, I'm about to scream.

You are trying to bribe people to join what is supposed to be an
animal welfare group by throwing stickers and "cool prizes" at
them??? Come on!! Grow up! PETA is, in my opinion, nothing more
than a terrorist organization whose members are made up of young,
impressionable people who, like the author, are obviously
impressed by stickers and horrified by statements about ripping
hair off of living animals.

Slaughter is NOT the same as murder. Murder involves malicious
intent. Animals who are slaughtered are raised for that purpose.
It is NOT murder.
I'm only on the second paragraph and I must say that this article
is so poorly written that I'm wondering whether or not I'll even
get through it.

First off, these sources need to be quoted. The writing is
atrocious, and the author sounds like an impressionable 12 year
old. What animals are you talking about? Who is slamming them on
the ground? Please explain.
Do you have proof that animals are skinned while alive?
hate the fact that this is still going on when faux fur can be
used...This is horrible,I wish there was more I could do.
