How To Do It Right

For those of you old enough to remember the 80's (I was only 5 when it ended) it must seem strange that fashion from that decade has made such a comeback today. It's probably a blessing that my mother made me throw away my neon pink spandex leggings after wearing them for three years straight, because if they still fit me today the KiwiBox office would probably be a lot different. Regardless, I've done some hunting for recent vintage throwback digs that still looks chic today- sans slap bracelets and shoulder pads.

to me, lots of 80's, particularly fashion isn't that vintage... it
was like... my childhood. Because, well, I was there.
seems like vintage is the new IN style now that won't necessarily
go out of style ever...
LOVE the first dress.
I love wearing 40s and 50s dresses. They're the best ever

I prefer to go to vintage styles further back than the 80s. 50s
and 60s styles are my favorite.
I buy a lot vintage jewelry as well. You can also usually find
small stores in random places that sell vintage jewelry. For
instance, here in the Denver-metro area, there is an area of
Arvada called Olde Town Arvada. There used to be a store here
which sold authentic and faux vintage jewelry.
Wow, it makes me feel old when the eighties are considered
vintage. The featured dress is gorgeous, and I love cameo pieces.
I have a box of costume jewelry from my grandmother--I should
look through it to see if there is anything I might wear.
Hey! What's wrong with slap bracelets?? ;P
That Gucci doctor back is really nice.

I love vintage.
vintage gucci is amazing.
I used to wear spandex leggings but mine were leopard print...
they were so cool.. and i definetly made a fashion statement
pairing them up with my brown cowboy boots.
Vintage is the way to go - then you aren't wearing the same Gap
shirt EVERYONE and their mother has!
The fading on that UO skirt is going to give me an aneurysm.
