Music has always had an immense impact on humanity. From the time of singing songs to the strum of the guitar while sitting by a campfire to the present time of mp3's music has been playing a grand role in people's lives. It has healed broken hearts, brought happiness to many, and helped people through their rough days. To put it simply music heals the soul. Presently, as the love of music continues to grow so does the music industry, especially the fairly new trend of music downloading. CD's have become a thing of the past and have been replaced by iPods, Zens, and various other mp3 players. The technological world has taken a turn into a new era; an era in which music is just a click of a button away.
Music downloading started from the well known Napster era. This was a new craze. People were intrigued with the idea of how easily they could download a song to their computer and further burn it to a CD. Though at the time the music downloads were much slower than those of the present time and with several faults, such as broken tracks, the hype continued to grow immensely. However, the music industry wasn't pleased with such an outcome of events for much to their dismay the downloading was occurring by illegal means. People were downloading track after track for free and by doing so hurting the artist as well as their record company. Artists and companies were losing money and the sale of CD's plummeted down. Legal action had to be taken and it was.

iTunes. I don't think its too expensive - the problem is - I like
to listen to a lot of EuroPop which iTunes doesn't always have...
and I can't find it anywhere... and If I just want one song in
particular and go down to Borders (and if they have it) an import
CD can be as much as $30. I'm gonna check out Ruckus though.
