Politics as usual with this Missouri-based quartet.
This New York-based quartet is prepared to rock in '09.
The hard rock quintet gets sinister on "Cinco Diablo."
Sticking to what they do best on their fifth album.

The Walk

I have to admit, when I received the CD The Walk by Hanson, I was skeptical. I was remembering the 1997 Middle of Nowhere CD where "MMMbop" as the hit single. While I had been a Hanson fan back in the day, I wondered how a boy band could fit into the current music scene. Turns out, I shouldn't have been so skeptical. The Hanson brothers have come a long way.

Most of us remember the release of their Middle of Nowhere CD. You either loved them or you hated them, but it seemed that the majority of America had fallen in love with these three boys from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The band was nominated for three Grammy awards and sold eight million albums. One thing I was always impressed with was the fact that the boys wrote or co wrote many of their own songs and played their own instruments. This was very unlike many of the other boy bands at the time.

Since then, Hanson released two albums, This Time Around (May 9, 2000) and Underneath (April 20, 2004), which were both very different; they developed more of an indie-rock feel. Underneath took them to #1 on the indie Billboard charts. In 2004, The New York Post commented on the band's new album saying, "Hanson has established itself as a credible rock band whose best years and music are still to come."

I have to say, I agree with them. The boys have grown up tremendously. All three are now married, and Isaac and Taylor both have children. Their new album The Walk reflects their personal experiences and beliefs.

I just want to say these guys are amazing. They have come so far
since releasing MMMBop to the world in 1997. I am so happy to see
Hanson release another great album. These men make up a real band
I agree! They sound a lot different now than they did in their
Mmbop days! I really like some of their songs, especially the ones
from their This Time Around cd!
I love Hanson. I'm so excited for the new cd--I can't want for
the release. I wish they would come tour in my city! I'm so
lame, but I love it, Haha!
this is so funny that its here now...I was at work the other day
and someone randomly put Mmmbop in as one of our PA system
songs...even my manager was singing and dancing along
I love the new single, Great Divide, the video really will spark
some kind of emotion in you. The best song they have ever come out
with.
I think back on my Hanson days like they were only yesterday. lol.
It's true that with each album the 3 both grew up more physically
as well as with there music. I can honestly say that I can't wait
for the release so that I can see how much the guys have grown
since their last album! I didn't even know they'd been working on
anything! It's exciting, I must say...
I love Hanson, always have. When people find out that I love them
I always get shit for it. Because everyone automatically think of
"mmmbop" when you mention Hanson. They have grown so much since
then and they are SO talented. They don't get the respect and
attention they deserve. I can't wait to get the new album.
I had to do a double take when I saw "Hanson" written in the lists
of articals. Its not common to come across their name today on
sites. I seriously wish more people would take their new music
into consideration because they have completly changed from the
MON cd, and with each new cd they get better.
