Sweatshops are used by almost every well known company. Many people know this, but few know why. The advantages are obvious; companies get a cheap workforce and gain a substantial profit. However, is what these companies put people through justified? Sweatshops create a dangerous working environment and pay little for the work that gets done. There's often child labor and insufficient health care benefits. But it still happens, because people still buy the goods that they're producing. If you want to put an end to sweatshop labor look into these great alternatives instead.

* This article is the best!!!! *
Awesome article, but it's going to be a VERY long time before
sweatshops go out of business. If you were to look at it from
another angle, sweatshop labor is justifyable. Those people aren't
forced into those jobs, they NEED those jobs to survive, and the
alternatives usually don't pay as well. On top of that, you have
to remember that even we went through a period where we ran
sweatshops and child labor was frequently used. But we went
through a period of reform and labor laws went into effect,
however, these other countries are WAY behind us on that. So until
they dig themselves out of that hole, sweatshops will remain.
awesome article!!! I deff. plan to buy sweatshop-free whenever I
can. I really liked the converse like shoes :).
sad thing is that....because people are still buying factory made
items,this will never stop
I feel like the Target I work at is a sweatshop sometimes...
