Chicago

My Kind of Town

Chicago. You may call it "The Windy City," "The Second City," or the "City of Big Shoulders." I simply call it home. Located in the upper Midwest, on the coast of the Lake Michigan, Chicago is a bustling, vibrant, diverse; a one of a kind city where the heart of America beats stridently. Born and raised a Chicagoan, I can guarantee you that the architecture, food, and cultural diversity found in my beloved city is what makes it an American treasure.

Chicago's downtown skyline is a feast for anyone's eye, whether you are an architecture enthusiast or a tourist. Chicago is home to the largest skyline in the world with the three tallest buildings being the Sears Tower, the Aon Building, and the John Hancock tower. The 110 story colossal Sears Tower stands high and proud in the center of the city and has become Chicago's trademark building. Besides large skyscrapers, Chicago is also home to beautiful, historical buildings like the Wrigley Building, the Field Museum, and the Art Institute. These buildings not only serve as beautiful architecture but also as cultural hubs for tourists and Chicago art and history seekers alike. Even sports fields such as Wrigley Field and Soldier Field are historical Chicago landmarks.

there and lives in a high rise a block from Michigan Avenue. I
always have an amazing time when I'm there!

Finally someone talks about Chicago!
Downtown is awesome!

the best place to live!!.......i love my city!
Also, I think Chicago is starting to come up! It is no longer the
"Second City"! We might have the Olympics here in 2016! Exciting,
but kinda sad tho' since they'll be tearing down a valuable part
of the city, but too bad :(

& Chicago definently has its own culture! It's great!
OMG yessss! I love Chicago! I live here and its great! I love
Chicago for the excitement and people, but sometimes it is nice to
get away. I've lived here almost all of my life, but I wouldn't
have enjoyed being here as much if I went to schools other than
the ones that I've attended here over the years. This city is full
of open-minded people and diversity among other things, but
Chicago definently has its cons. This city is for people who, for
the most part, like living the "fast life". That's not always me,
and I like getting away sometimes, but I don't always have a
choice, I live here, and it's hard living here sometimes. Overall
I love the city, and the school I go to plays a big part in
that!♦
cubs!!!!! :)
yep, i'm from a suburb near Chicago but i love the city..i
couldn't live there i'd go crazy but i do love taking the train
into the city and being in the city for the night
I just moved to Chicago and I love it! Coming down I-94 and
getting that first glimpse of the skyline was just a rush of
excitement for me. I am looking foreward to exploring this place!
I have relatives who live on Michigan Avenue, they live in the
apartments above bloomingdales. My Aunt & Uncle's apartment
overlook the lake, it's a gorgeous view. I'm going to be there in
June, my cousin is getting married yay! :)
