Chicago. You may call it "The Windy City," "The Second City," or the "City of Big Shoulders." I simply call it home. Located in the upper Midwest, on the coast of the Lake Michigan, Chicago is a bustling, vibrant, diverse; a one of a kind city where the heart of America beats stridently. Born and raised a Chicagoan, I can guarantee you that the architecture, food, and cultural diversity found in my beloved city is what makes it an American treasure.
Chicago's downtown skyline is a feast for anyone's eye, whether you are an architecture enthusiast or a tourist. Chicago is home to the largest skyline in the world with the three tallest buildings being the Sears Tower, the Aon Building, and the John Hancock tower. The 110 story colossal Sears Tower stands high and proud in the center of the city and has become Chicago's trademark building. Besides large skyscrapers, Chicago is also home to beautiful, historical buildings like the Wrigley Building, the Field Museum, and the Art Institute. These buildings not only serve as beautiful architecture but also as cultural hubs for tourists and Chicago art and history seekers alike. Even sports fields such as Wrigley Field and Soldier Field are historical Chicago landmarks.
