I think I'll go to Boston...

A city with so much to offer

Beantown, the Hub, the Walking City, all nicknames for Boston, Massachusetts, originally a Puritan settlement of the 17th Century. Today, the city has not abandoned it's historical roots, but rather embraced it along side the growing nightlife and large co-ed population.

Visitors should explore the city with this in mind and be sure to explore culturally enriching spots like the "Freedom Trail," the 2.5 mile walk that includes stops such as Paul Revere's house, the USS Constitution, and the site of the Boston Massacre.

While on the Trail, you will pass through Faneuil Hall, one of Boston's most exciting areas. At Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, there are plenty shops and restaurants, along with street entertainment, ranging from comedians to jugglers to musicians in good weather. Faneuil Hall is a great place to spend a summer day in the city. Another nearby option is Boston's North End, or Little Italy, filled with amazing restaurants, bars and cafes. The North End is also home to many Italian festivals throughout the year.

there is no place in the united states that i want to go more than
boston. i want to see fenway park so bad!
Boston does sound fun to visit! Great Article, maybe some friends
and I will roadtrip up there this summer, we're always looking for
new places to go!
I'd love to go to Boston someday, or maybe even live there. It
just sounds like such a fantastic place.

Some friends of mine came over from England a couple years ago,
and they took the Duck Tour, and thought it was awesome! However,
the best bet is to wear a very comfortable pair of shoes (and I do
mean SHOES not sandles, because of some of the uneven surfaces of
the brick sidewalks, and cobblestones on the crosswalks) and
follow the red painted lines, for a walking tour of the Freedom
Trail. Walking is THE best way to see Boston, and you can stop
along the way to watch the ducks at the Public Garden, or to relax
on Boston Common. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants, Dunkin'
Donuts, Starbucks, push-carts, and CVS stores all along the route,
in case you want something to eat or drink. However, the parking
is horrible--very expensive, so unless you're staying at a hotel
in the city, take the train or the T (the trolley/subway MBTA)
into the city, and plan your walking from the train station. And
don't forget to take a jacket with you, no matter how nice the
weather was when you left home. The weather can change very
quickly, and I've seen several days when it was 90 and sunny at
the start of the day, and then the wind shifted, and it dropped 30
degrees in a couple hours. The harbor cruises are nice, too, if
you have some extra time to see Boston by sea. And if you're from
out of state, don't forget to take the train up to Salem, the
Witch City, or the T to Quincy, City of Presidents, (the John
Adams family site) as well.
I'm from Boston. :D Although I live outside of Boston now, I still
love going there!

And uh..yeah good luck just "jumping aboard" a Duck Tour, if I
remember correctly you have to book those things atleast a few
days in advance.
Me and my boyfriend took a roadtrip to Boston about 2 months ago.
I wish we had planned a little better. It was a last second thing
and I wish we had more time. I loved it, if I could I would move
there in a heartbeat. People were so friendly and helpful to use
Canadian tourists all lost in the city. The only thing I am sad
about(other than not having enough time) is that the tea party
ship was out being restored or something but it wasn't there.
Altho because of that we got to see the Public Library. Next time
I am definately staying IN the city tho. (we stayed just outside.)
I've never had so much fun on a trip that was litterally planned
8 hours before we left (btw it was an 8 hr drive...we left friday
afternoon, came home sunday afternoon...ya I know we're nuts but
it was worth it)
Boston is my love.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else but MA :)
my husband and I really loved Boston!! We went for our honeymoon,
which included marthas vineyard, and nantucket and cape cod!!! We
enjoyed everything!!
