Chart Attack!!

Billboard's Top Crop (genre: Weekly Update)

Chart Attack!!!!

In the last installment of Chart Attack, R&B was the dominant force on the charts. This time around it's good ol' fashioned Country making its way into the top 5 on Billboard this week, bookended by the always-reliable Now That's What I Call Music! series and producer extraordinaire, Timbaland.

Now That's What I Call Obvious!

Not surprising by any stretch of the imagination, Now That's What I Call Music! 24 sits on top of the charts this week. The long-running compilation series struck gold (or platinum, for that matter) with their roster this time around, with pop-juggernauts like Justin Timberlake ("My Love") and Beyonce ("Irreplaceable") shoulder-to-shoulder with respectable placeholders like Bow Wow ("Shortie Like Mine") and R&B's "it" man, Akon ("I Wanna Love You" featuring Snoop Dogg). As for Now's chart standing, it's deja-vu all over again.

I have to find a way to refer to Justin Timberlake as a pop
juggernaut in everyday speech. :D

Great article, Josh.
Fixed. I couldn't agree more in regards to the prior subtext.
Since the article is more of a "weekly update" it should reflect
so in the subtext.

Thanks for the input!

I definitely agree with meggiesue
I think if you're going to use the subtext "Country in the Charts"
underneath the title of the article, it should be all about
country. I came here with the intention of reading a good article
about country music and was pretty disappointed by the misleading
cover text.
I LOVE Tim McGraw. And Emerson Drive, and Rascal Flatts, and a lot
of other country singers. They're awesome.
