Life Plan For Stress Management

A stress reduction exercise

If you knew you only had a certain number of days left to live, would you change the way you're living? Stress researchers have proven that people who lead an unhealthy, stressed out lifestyle will have shorter lives than their healthier, more relaxed counterparts. And stress levels-- especially in Americans--are reaching epidemic proportions. Nearly 50% of American suffer adverse health affects due to stress, and up to 90% of doctor's visits are prompted by stress related symptoms.

Here on Kiwibox, we're not doing much better. In a recent poll, 88% of Kiwibox users said they were currently stressed out, and 94% said they were regularly stressed out. So, how do you turn this trend around? The five R's of stress management--rethink, reduce, release, reorganize and relax--are great starting points. The first R, rethink, is focused around making choices in life, which brings us back to the original question: If you knew you only had a certain number of days left to live, would you change the way you're living?

The idea of calculating my life expectancy kind of scares me. :( I
do know that I could stand to cut back on my stress level, but
sometimes it's hard to find a way out of it.
