Hayden Panettiere

America’s Favorite “Hero”

NBC's newest drama Heroes, best known for it's popular catchphrase "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World", has made it one of the most popular new shows of the 2006-2007 season. The indestructible cheerleader, one of the most memorable characters, inspired the catchphrase and propelled its portrayer into stardom.

To many, Italian-American actress Hayden Panettiere is considered a talented, up-and-coming actress; however, what you may not know is Panettiere isn't exactly a newcomer. One look at her eclectic resume with acting jobs that range from TV, video games and even soap operas, it's pretty clear that she's more of a seasoned veteran.

The seventeen year-old Palisades, New York native got her first start at eleven months old, when she appeared in a Playskool commercial (by the time she was a teenager, she would have appeared in over 50 commercials). Like many big time actors, Hayden's big break came when she landed the role on the soap opera One Life to Live, when she was just barely five years old. By the age of eight, she moved on to the soap Guiding Light where her character battled leukemia. The role brought the soap special recognition for spotlighting leukemia and won the show an award from the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Upon leaving the soap-opera arena in 1998, word soon spread regarding the pint-sized actress's talent, and big time TV roles and film offers soon poured in. Within no time, Panettiere would lend her voice to the character Dot, in Disney's hit animated movie A Bugs Life, and subsequently led to a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word Album for Children.

I think it's great if she wants to save dolphins, but it's
hypocritical of her to gush about leather shoes, which she
recently did in an interview. This is probably due to ignorance
about the treatment of ALSO innocent animals killed to serve human
selfishness, or it's just her plain apathy. Also, is she a
vegetarian or does she just not care about the "less cute" animals
being tortured in factory farms? Regardless, I do not respect or
admire her and rarely any celebrity, because I don't believe they
deserve their idolization, money and attention. There are real
heroes like teachers and volunteers who should get blogs too.
hayden has always been pretty and i adore her a lot
I really like her, especially in bring it on all or nothing :P
She's very talented.
Hayden is such an awesome and talented actress/singer. She has
such a beautiful voice.
I use to watch her when i was little as Lizzie on Guilding Light,
even though i was around teh same age as her.. I knew then that
she was a great actress.. Because I dont know if you have ever
watched that soap opera but to be a spaulding you got to be able
to nail teh dramatic scenes really well.. But I think she is a
great actor and I hope she doesnt turn into another lindsay or
brittany.
Hayden Panettiere is a good actor.i think that she is pretty.
I like Hayden Panettiere! I first saw her in Remember The Titans,
I loved her curly hair, too! So pretty! She's a really great
actress, she's awesome in Heroes! That show rocks! :)
I loooove Hayden. Her acting and personality makes it hard to
believe how young she really is (younger than me, in fact) and I
love the clothes she wears and the way she handles herself. She's
stellar ;D
I like Hayden's song called "Your New Girlfriend". It's on the
"Girl Next" CD. I'm looking forward to Hayden's CD release.
Maybe she'll record more music once she's done with "Heroes".
She was on "The View" not too long ago and from what she said and
the others said I'd say she's a great role model and not the least
bit trashy! She doesn't have the time to party or anything and is
focused on acting and her life.
LuckyPineapple do you really believe EVERYTHING you read in the
TABLOIDS? That's sad if you do. A lot of that stuff is made up so
those companies can make money.

Hayden is far from a party girl. Not saying she doesn't go out,
but she is indeed no Lindsay Lohan, or Paris Hilton. Who walk
around cracked out and plastered.

I love Hayden I think she's a wonderful actress.
I like her..but she's such a freaking trashy party girl and gets
so very drunk and smokes a lot, and it only bothers me because
she's 17 and has been doing it for years! search the tabloid
blogs
