NBC's newest drama Heroes, best known for it's popular catchphrase "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World", has made it one of the most popular new shows of the 2006-2007 season. The indestructible cheerleader, one of the most memorable characters, inspired the catchphrase and propelled its portrayer into stardom.

To many, Italian-American actress Hayden Panettiere is considered a talented, up-and-coming actress; however, what you may not know is Panettiere isn't exactly a newcomer. One look at her eclectic resume with acting jobs that range from TV, video games and even soap operas, it's pretty clear that she's more of a seasoned veteran.
The seventeen year-old Palisades, New York native got her first start at eleven months old, when she appeared in a
Playskool commercial (by the time she was a teenager, she would have appeared in over 50 commercials). Like many big time actors, Hayden's big break came when she landed the role on the soap opera One Life to Live, when she was just barely five years old. By the age of eight, she moved on to the soap Guiding Light where her character battled leukemia. The role brought the soap special recognition for spotlighting leukemia and won the show an award from the National Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Upon leaving the soap-opera arena in 1998, word soon spread regarding the pint-sized actress's talent, and big time TV roles and film offers soon poured in. Within no time, Panettiere would lend her voice to the character Dot, in Disney's hit animated movie A Bugs Life, and subsequently led to a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word Album for Children.

hypocritical of her to gush about leather shoes, which she
recently did in an interview. This is probably due to ignorance
about the treatment of ALSO innocent animals killed to serve human
selfishness, or it's just her plain apathy. Also, is she a
vegetarian or does she just not care about the "less cute" animals
being tortured in factory farms? Regardless, I do not respect or
admire her and rarely any celebrity, because I don't believe they
deserve their idolization, money and attention. There are real
heroes like teachers and volunteers who should get blogs too.
