Oftentimes, when a sequel to a successful movie is made, especially a horror flick, marketing and profitability win out over quality. So, you can't blame me for not expecting much when I decided to catch 28 Weeks Later. Lo and behold, by the time the final credits were rolling, quality was still intact! And I wasn't mad that I had spent ten dollars (New York City is ridiculous...).
Picking up six months after the immensely popular 28 Days Later left off, the US military is in charge now that a "rage virus" has wiped out Britain. With everything under control, they decide the coast is clear and they can begin the arduous process of rebuilding our neighbor across the pond.

The first to journey back into (what was once) London is Don (Robert Carlyle) who upon returning is reunited with
his children. He has the opportunity to explain what has happened (zombies, viruses, etc.) and has to tell the kids that he's left his wife (Catherine McCormack) behind.
Because this is a movie and a movie has story arcs, the quiet peaceful feeling is shattered just as the audience is getting comfortable...
