Shrek the Third

The Ogre's Back

As a huge fan of Shrek and Shrek 2, I was very excited to review Shrek the Third. Unfortunately, it failed to live up to my (very high) expectations.

The plot is pretty straightforward. King Harold, the ruler of Far Far Away, is dying, and Shrek (Mike Myers) must either find an heir or become king himself. Just before he dies, King Harold tells Shrek that there IS an heir, Arthur Pendragon. Shrek goes to find Arthur and just before he leaves, Fiona (Cameron Diaz) tells him she's pregnant--a subplot that involves Shrek getting ready to be a dad.

Meanwhile, Prince Charming (Rupert Everett) is now working at a cheap dinner-theater and is plotting to take over the land with the help of other fairy tale villains. As Shrek rushes Artie (Justin Timberlake) back to the kingdom, Fiona must resist the invading villains with the help of her friends, the Princess Squad. Of course, throughout the movie, there are many fairy tale references, random characters, and countless jokes - some funny, some not so funny.

" i just saw this movie yesturday and i thought it was
hillarious!!! i just hate that the Ogre never became king, that
would have made it a bit better. i love the little ogre babies!!
how cute." thanks for ruining that for me! +_+
i love GREEN-Sausages!!!!!(LOL)
it was okay.. but as i've said for most years, 1 and 2 of movies
usualy kick ass.. Third movies, usualy suck.
omg i luvv the ogre babies they were so adorable!!!:))
i love the movie i seen it 3 times but i was not a fun but it was
a good movie and the baby ur cute
aw,im so sad to read this review because i loved shrek 1 and 2 and
was looking forward to seeing the 3rd soon! seems to not live up
to its expectations which may be too much to ask. although it may
not be superb, i think i still may watch it - theatre or rental.
lol. thanks for the heads up though
the movie was good but i don't think it was as fun as shrek 2....
and whoever play arthur sound rather weird.....
I liked this movie... the ogre babies were sooo cute!
Watching this movie was not a very postive experience for me. I
felt as a big Shrek fan, I was just watching an expansion pack
from Shrek 2. The movie was just missing something that would give
this movie its charm.
well i haven't seen it yet, but u guys say it wasn't good so
idk..i luved pirates tho!!!
I just saw it yesterday, i didn't think it was as good as the
first. And they're planning on making a 4th? I don't think that's
a good idea. I liked the Rapunzel's hair part too. Hilarius.
i loved sleeping beauty and how she would fall asleep standing
up...and wtf rapunzel? what a beeyotch.
i just saw this movie yesturday and i thought it was hillarious!!!
i just hate that the Ogre never became king, that would have made
it a bit better. i love the little ogre babies!! how cute.
i love shrek ! shrek 3 is not as good as the first and 2nd one
was. i don't really believe that they need to make a 4th one. my
favorite characters in all the movies is shrek and in the 2nd and
3rd were donkey and puss in boots. :)
i just watched it. still alright. the plot a bit remind me of the
movie 'happily never after' with the villians attacking the
castle-good guys
shrek!!
i really liked this movie. i went with my bf and and we both had
fun-there are jokes for little kids and adults which makes the
movie fun for any age
i love shrek... haven't seen the third movie though
there were a few laugh my butt off moments but i felt the movie
was far too short, and very adult for some young viewers. the fact
that fiona was pregnant might lead eight year olds to asking
questions that parents might not be ready to answer yet.

my favorite part was shrek's nightmare about the babies...when he
thinks he's awake and the one turns its head and says "DA.DA." i
about died.
SHREK......I LOVE
i love shrek it is a good movie for me and mt family to set down
and watch together. It has alot of funny scenes in it....i cant get
enough of it..lol
The second one was the best. But I'd watch all 3 of them again and
again. Definitely another good Shrek movie.
I agree. The first 2 were much better.
I LOVE YOU GUYS
I LOVE YOU GUYS
ooh! eric idle AND john cleese?!?!?! YAY!
see i LOVE potty humor. i have the feeling i'll like this movie no
matter what, since i love the characters as well. and hey, at
least they thought of a good plot, huh?
I agree with your review. I thought Shrek was an incredible
movie, and incredibly enough the second was just as much. I guess
it was asking too much to hope the 3rd would live up to the first
two, though.
I did like it. It was enjoyable, but definitely a renter.
Well I really didnt like shrek 2, and the 3rd still isnt as good
as the first.
But it was pretty good. I expected something much less
interesting.
