Flawless Skin

Perfect for a day at the beach

The flawless look is huge for this year's summer season. During the last fashion week, designers like Chloe, Fendi, and Dolce and Gabbana used flawless, minimal make-up looks to compliment their designs. For the beach, this look can't be beat since you use little product and it shows off your beautiful bronzed face.

"If the handles are shorter, how does that make them easier to see
exactly? Wouldn't be easier to see a large object?"

Say, you're using a mirror that does not have magnification.
You're blind as a freaking bat like me. Ever tried using a
long-handled brush in a mirror where you can't see how you're
applying your makeup? Doesn't work very well, does it? You'll keep
on bumping the handle into the mirror. You completely
misunderstood my point.

"Quality products tend to cost more because of the time and
materials put into them. I own Sephora products, and they are
worth the money if you like to use brushes."

You can have quality products that don't cost as much as Sephora
brushes. You just need to know where to look for them.

"If you would read her article, you would see that she gave
options for $1, which as far as I can tell, is less than $3
(15/5)."

Let's review the pricing.

Say, someone wants to purchase each type of makeup, moisturizer,
and brushes featured in this article.

Based upon the suggestions, Here's the tally of costs (minus tax,
of course), for the person that bought the most expensive
options.

Let's see...

The person who went the "most affordable route" ended up paying:
$61.39.

The person in the middle got their summer makeup fix with the
price of $70.

The person who buys the highest priced products... paid:
$159.99!!

Those same type of products purchased through AVON and mark:
$37.73.

I'm not kidding... I even checked the math twice to make sure it
was all added correctly. It was. Last time I checked, $37.73 is
cheaper than anything else added together in this article. I can
do math sweetheart, you don't need to pick apart everything I say.

You don't have to break the bank. Just say no to buying more than
you can afford.
And that's just AVON as an example, this also does NOT include
those other companies out there that make affordable products that
are of good quality!!! I just want people to know that there are
other options! Just because a company has good pricing, also does
not mean they have bad quality either. e.l.f seems to be an
example of this. Also, one thing about mark, the entire mark line
was designed /by/ makeup artists, who actually /use/ this stuff.
So it's not just thrown together either. For every avon and mark
product I've purchased, I've always been pleased with it,
especially the mark products.

"Is AVON one of your sponsors?"

They're not paying for me to give word of mouth. I'm a sales rep.
I sell it. Either way, I just don't talk to the talk, I actually
use their products all the time. I know them very well, and I know
how well they work. Which they do work very well. And I do buy
quality makeup. It just comes with a better price tag, so I can
spend the additional money left over to spend on other things I
want to buy. :)

And I don't need your good flippin luck. I do know of a
chiropractor that'll see me for $30. My family has known him for
years. Dr. Clark Beckley in the Kansas City, MO area, in fact.
He's really good, in fact he also teaches at the cleaveland
chiropractic college in our area. He's awesome.

You know what? I can read honey, and I do read medical reports,
considering that I take into great concern that my great uncle has
had skin cancer, and that means I'm more genetically prone to it.
I read medical articles all the time. SPF 15 is for everyday
activities. SPF 30 or higher, depending on the person is for the
beach, where you're exposed to even more sun. And think of how
long you're going to be on the beach. SPF 15 is going to wear off
in no time (and not just on me either), even if you reapply it
every hour.

And I highly doubt that the entire scope of the 1.5+ million users
on this site are stuckup brats who constantly whine and beg to
their parents to buy them expensive makeup, clothes, etc. I used
to write articles, but I haven't much any more since I haven't
gotten the time to.

Go spend your energy out doing something productive. I walked 2
and a half miles today hanging brochures, talkling to people,
contacting customers, and nabbing 5 sales today. And that's just
today. Instead of picking apart everything I said, do you have
anything better worth doing? It's better than beating a dead horse
with the same fallacy over and over again. That fallacy is called
Appeal to Snobbery. Ha. Like I haven't seen that before.

Sure, call me a cheapo, penny pincher, whatever tickles your
fancy, but regardless of my avon rep position, I'd like to remind
you that not every one of us wants to be a freeloader either. Why
should the fact that you're (or they're) not the one paying for it
suddenly make everything okay? Funny how that works, huh.
What do you mean the prices are weird? She provided prices to
multiple products to choose from.
this article doesnt make any sense.. the prices are weird ...
I bought a foundation brush from Sephora for about $30. I can't
really afford to spend money like that, but if you buy good
quality brushes, they last a long time. I've had mine for close to
a year. All I do is clean it in water and dishsoap a couple times
a week and it's like new!
"I'm sorry, but a $30 for a "platinum foundation brush" for is NOT
worth my money. Neither is a foundation brush for $20.

Work within my budget! LOL

How about mark's Go With the Pro brush set, it's only $15 and you
get FIVE brushes! The handles are even shorter and they're more
portable brushes, which is great considering I'm blind as a bat!"

If the handles are shorter, how does that make them easier to see
exactly? Wouldn't be easier to see a large object? Quality
products tend to cost more because of the time and materials put
into them. I own Sephora products, and they are worth the money if
you like to use brushes. If you would read her article, you would
see that she gave options for $1, which as far as I can tell, is
less than $3 (15/5).

"Avon's foundation brush (the new ergonomic one) is $5.99, the old
one that's being discontinued is $3.99.

And not just AVON (since I sell it), there sure are more than just
AVON brushes that are much cheaper than a $30 trip to Sephora."

If you had noted the product prices, there were products that were
cheaper than $30. Try reading something.

"Is Sephora one of your sponsors? Is that every makeup article has
something Sephora in it?"

Normally, I don't butt in, but I read a lot of the articles.
Everytime I see your comments, all they talk about is AVON this
and AVON that. Is AVON one of your sponsers?

"It's annoying and this "$30 for a foundation brush" crap doesn't
work with ANYONE's budgets on this site. Think of it. This site is
full of teens and twenty-somethings. We're not going to be made of
money. For $30 it better also give me a trip to the chiropractor.
A foundation brush doesn't do that. Get real."

Um...actually, this site is aimed for 13-17 year old girls. Last
time I checked, most of them live at home with their parents, and
for the most part, probably don't have to worry about being "made
of money." If you would read the other articles that get posted in
the Beauty area, you would see that the same person wrote
something on BUDGET makeup. Maybe you should read those articles
and stop bitching about other articles that aren't specifically
catered to cheap products. Oh, and if you know a chiropractor that
will see you for $30, congratulations. Good luck finding one
though.

"Oh really? A $30 concealer brush? mark's concealer brush is $5,
and again, it's also in the $15 Go With the Pro mini brush set. I
do admit that the $1 e.l.f. brush isn't so bad of a find for this
site's audience though."

Last time I checked, $1 is less than $5. Why don't you stop
whining about how cheap mark products are when the product she
suggested is cheaper than the one you want people who have to
worry about money to buy.

"And, if you're going to the beach, SPF 15 ain't gonna do JACK. If
this site is going to also have articles about skin cancer, why
have advice in an article to counter it? Get higher SPF coverage.
AT LEAST 30 or 35 if you don't tend to burn. 50 or higher if you
do. That's one part AVON falls short on though, they don't offer
above 40 in their US store. In the Asian AVON stores, they go all
the way up to 50+. If you're going to keep your skin looking
beautiful on the beach, keep it looking beautiful forever by
preventing skin cancer!"

Have you read medical reports on this? The minimum suggested SPF
is 15, but the prefered amount is 30. The article is still
correct, so why don't you do some research before you slam
someone's article that can probably write 10x better than you can.
By the way, a lot of people don't need the same protection as you
might, so they might not need something higher than 15. Like the
article said look for "at least SPF 15 protection". You don't HAVE
to.

"Stila, no wonder I haven't heard of it, it's too expensive for
our budgets! And $18 is still a lot for concealer. And we can't
afford Bobbi Brown!! Tie in with the site's audience!!!!! Don't
forget!! We're not made of money!!"

Again, if you can't afford it, why don't you read the articles
about budget makeup or find something comparable. Those were
SUGGESTIONS. You (one person) does not equal the site's audience
(1.5+ million). Why don't you think about what the site's audience
is? By the way, she never told you you have to buy these, so stop
bitching.

"One thing I love about being an AVON rep, is that we can get
shade selectors and samples to try out on people to find their
shades, as opposed to the nasty trial-and-error you'd usually have
to do without someone assisting you with finding the right color.
It's true that you'd change color throughout the year. It's also
true that you shouldn't have to do trial and error to find the
right shade of foundation either."

So...you still have to try out your products in order to find the
right color. And you still have to have someone help you (an AVON
rep) find the right shade. Please explain to me how this is
different from "trial-and-error you'd usually have to do without
someone assisting you with finding the right color".

"I'm not digging the price tag on those $20-30 foundations either.
Need I say more."

Let's complain a little more about price please. I haven't heard
enough of it yet.

"Oh, did I mention, that some people like myself do more than just
sitting around all pretty in a chair at the beach? You get wet,
your poor makeup is going to run. That's why I like AVON's Perfect
Wear Extralasting foundation. It's sweat proof, humidity proof,
and it didn't break the bank either."

Did the article say you have to sit around pretty in a chair at
the beach? No. I believe the author wrote this would compliment
your bronzed skin from the beach. And if you buy good products,
like the ones suggested instead of cheap AVON makeup, it doesn't
run that easily.

"I don't like breaking the bank. Neither do other Kiwibox users.
Then End."

Thanks for telling me that a minimum of 5 times. Some people do
like to buy QUALITY make-up. Maybe you should spend your energy
writing articles for the site if you know about this stuff and are
such a better writer and representative of what the site is than
the person who wrote the article. Speaking of, why don't you point
me in the direction of your great research and work for an
article?
I'm sorry, but a $30 for a "platinum foundation brush" for is NOT
worth my money. Neither is a foundation brush for $20.

Is Sephora one of your sponsors? Is that every makeup article has
something Sephora in it?

instead of wearing makeup to the beach, you could use medicated
face washes to beat acne and just apply some bronzer.
